    I love making bracelets with these “shamballa” knots ,as I call them.I have never heard of them being referred to as “P’s & Q’s” before now but I shall be using this terminology from now on as it helps you remember which knot you are doing. I have some redundant crystal chain,but now I know what to do with it,I would never have thought to use it in this way 👍🏼 💚🇮🇪

    I just happened on your video the q&a video, and was very happy to listen to your story. I love beading and crafting, although I don't get to do much being to busy with life and all. I am actually just starting to bead and have been watching many TH-cam videos trying to find someone who I can learn from. Don't get me wrong, there are a lot of great teachers out there and I'm happy to have the opportunity to watch them and learn. But I must say, you just seem different and I really like that! So I will be watching and learning from you, and I want to say Thank You for being on TH-cam and being generous with your knowledge! So as we say in Hawaii, Mahalo! 🌺

    I love watching your video tutorials. I'm new to this kind of jewelry making and you make it look so easy. While watching you, I can see other ways I can make what you are making, but, my way. I get lots of ideas that way. I ordered some buttons and seed beads from your store and am very happy with the purchase. I ordered some other things in my next order along with a barrel knot tube. I can't wait for it to arrive so I can try the knot. BTW I live in Arkansas.

      @KelliesBeadBoutique  5 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Thanks Kathryn! I’ve never made a wrap with it but why not give it a try?! What might look kind of cool with that is to maybe do 3 little crystals spaced out about every 3 inches or so. That way the bling would show all the way around. Sound good?

    Kellie, any tips on tension? Other than the obvious --- practice? I've been making jewelry of many types for years, and i finally get around to using waxed cord, and bamboo cord that i discovered as well..... and i keep pulling them apart and reknotting because i canNOT get the tension (or something) correct. Kids all over make these daily.... and this 50 yr old cant make it work!!! SO...any tips to offer? Thanks! !

    • @KelliesBeadBoutique
      @KelliesBeadBoutique  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hmmm. Well I find that you have to use the right kind of cord. Anything too slippery seems to loosen up. Try doing it with something that has some grip to it like Irish Waxed Linen. That might make it easier for you.

I’ve been looking for more ways to display my bracelets for photos and/or at upcoming local craft markets here in Florida besides a large (and beautiful) conch shell I have and the usual jewelry display racks.
