You made a grown man cry when you stopped for some tea and milkshakes, tht place was very beautiful. Watching from Dallas Texas. Joining you guys next year and retiring back home after being in America for 19yrs without stepping a foot bk home. So inspirational. Home will always be the best!!! There is nothing like being home!! nothing compares.
Was Stateside for 18, and now back. Numerous changes - social, political, physical, economic, some for the better i must say. A bit challenging i must say as reverse culture shock hits. But slowly you readapt. I give big props to Mackenze. So welcome back nyumbani.
This is so healthy for your children, the Bush, the culture, the fresh air, .learning new things. So lovely, we use the chewstick in Jamaica, it came from. GHANA 🇬🇭
The chewstick toothbrush is actually an African thing introduced to us by the missionaries as they moved across the continent. No wonder the Maasai people have extremely white teeth due to the chewstick.
loving your videos. Your fluency in the names to those places you are visiting is just spectacular ❤. You are so humble, a home maker. At this rate you will be speaking Kimeru pretty soon. Show us your meal preps and cooks. Also how you engage the kids whike at home for the chores. To welcome you home I will send cup cake trays as my gift, for your new house. Please try the samosas at the first cafe on the right- Entrecote Kisima
A few days ago when I discovered your channel you had about 1300 subscribers. Your channel is appealing to many of us Kenyans in the diaspora due to its authenticity. Keep it up.

Oh ya I remember those toothbrush sticks. They are affordable/free and we used to walk around anywhere using them, anytime, anywhere. They do not need water to rinse.
Am a Kenyan residing in Col. Ohio n I admire your spirit, how down to earth you r n how you intergrate the babies in everything. Wow you make me homesick....good content though!
The kids are having a blast out there. The scene from Meru, Timau to Nanyuki are breathtaking. Seeing you in Java made me miss their famous Dawa drink.
I like this!!! Mekenze you are an amazing woman and George you are a hero!! Good luck to both of you!! As human beings we naturally evaluate everything we come into contact with.We then try to gain insight and direction from our evaluations of other people stereotypes which are are often created out of truth and then distorted beyond reality.A good balance between genuine efforts and paced adaptation is your sweet spot.
I love that journey. Last did it 8 years ago. In the forest area just outside Meru we were held up by a group of about 10 elephants being shepherded by traffic police, at a distance of course. Took a little while before they moved off the road but they were magnificent. When my wife was a child at Nkubu there was an annual elephant migration through one of their valleys, sadly no more. But that is the most beautiful country in that area. I love the vistas there, near Nanyuki, towards the north mountains - like you can see forever. Asante.
We moved from 🇺🇸 to 🇰🇪 too, quite amazing or it a bold move and the headache 🤕 of transition of not knowing everything 😂 you did the right decisions. Our kids will sure reflect on this someday.
