Will Lord is one of my favorite accidental discoveries on youtube. Happy I found him and even happier you are sharing this gem of a man with your audience!
Oh my, what a beautiful, soft-spoken, kind and interesting human being. Thank you for bringing him to your channel and sharing this all too brief insight into another time. This is what the internet should be for and I am glad you're doing your bit to make it happen.
I met Will quite a few years ago and was so impressed by his skills and enthusiasm. A real Diamond in the Bushcrafting community. Great collaboration Mike.
He made an excellent point about this sort of experience helping with mental health. Living in cities and working in offices has left us disconnected from nature, depriving us of the primal satisfaction you get from creating something with your own hands and accomplishing something tangible. Impressive as it may be, writing an awesome piece of code can't scratch the itch that digging a hole or chopping a tree does.
@beans1557 as memed as it is, I can't argue with the fact that spending time in nature, fishing, gutting and cooking your food and keeping warm, waking up to that morning mist is the best feeling in life.
Will Lord is incredible, he’s a true master craftsman, I’ve watched him live streaming when he makes flint knives and so on, and it’s absolutely fascinating each time.
This man is absolutely extraordinary. Very softly spoken, with a genuine passion for sharing the enormous fountain of knowledge he has. What a lovely man. He has definitely gained a new subscriber.
So much respect for Will. He's living what he is teaching and he's so excited about sharing with others. We need more people like him. Oh, and you're in that category my friend. Please let him know how many people appreciate what he is doing. Respect from your friends in Florida USA 🌴
This was brilliant! Will is an absolute professional. Clear and concise in his delivery, personable and a wealth of knowledge. He gained a new subscriber! Thanks for showcasing Will on your channel Mike!
This shows what comes from Wills courage...approaching the Duke with an insane idea to others but to him and myself, this knowledge cannot be lost to time. The gift of the Duke to Will, to all of us is a genuine honor. Thank yall for being trend setters and having the courage to live who you are.
All my days! What an amazing treat. An absolutely fantastic must watch video. Well done, Mike, and thank you so much, Will! A true education. Loved it. ❤
The absolute relaxed joy in Will's smiling face. This is a truely unique man that lives in harmony. I think I first saw him on facebook many years back, and still follow his page. Amazing man, living a completely different life than the majority of the stressed people out here.
I love listening to Will Lord .. he seems like such a calm , chill , man. But having been a farmer .. once you form a connection with land it’s difficult to ever want to leave that land
SUPER AWESOME EPISODE MIKE! Yes please do a follow up episode 🙏🏼. Will’s talent and skills were such a pleasure to watch, and I’d love to see a bow making episode. Watching him fashion that arrowhead was mind blowing. 🍻 Cheers brother from across the pond, California 👊🏼😎🤙🏼
Yes, please do. More of the raw life craft of aboriginal peoples would be much appreciated. There are tribes using extremely primitive ways to get through daily life all over the world. This would be a great series to investigate.
That man is a absolute legend not just knowledgeable but humble and very good at crafting he knows his stuff and very welcoming got a great patch which surrounds him.
This was incredible viewing. Engrossed from start to finish. He is a fascinating character and would love to see more collabs between you two legends (and more video content like this where you interview people like the Royal Marine). Amazing stuff!
Absolutely Interested in Bow making! Any traditional skill that can be passed on is so important. All these old skills are being lost to time. Please keep on this theme and get as much of it recorded as possible!
Thanks for this amazing episode. Will Lord seems like a great chap, full of knowledge and so willing to share it. A true craftsman. You both had me transfixed all the way trough the film. Will is right about mental health and conecting back to nature 👍 I know something about it. Can't wait to see another film with Will 🙂 Good luck!
Great video Mike! I stumbled upon Will's channel months ago. He is an OUTSTANDING craftsman. The way he makes tools with flint look so easy is mind blowing.
You are an Authentic Survivalist Bushman, very skilled, and Naturally Artistic! That's Raw Living! I really Love the fact that you have such respect for Ma-Nature , & knowledge of the History of the Lands Past! I would like to see more of your Projects, and How to Create Items from Nature's Gifts! First Time Watching, Not the Last! I Enjoyed the Lessons! Quite a Process, but worth the Effort! This is MY kind of Watch! Thank You! Be Safe above All! GBU.,SM.,NZ.,✌❤😁🙏🤗👍😉
Thank god we have people like this man in todays age ,this is true to the way of bushcraft and survival, they should put this kind of thing in schools around the world as part of their curriculum. Learnt a few things today ,very impressed, plus he's such a great person makes you want to just listen and be amazed ..God bless you and your family and stay wild ..Lee
The amount of knowledge he posseses is just staggering! 🤯 My favorite part was the walk through the woods, really amazing stuff. I have watched Will Lord on youtube before, but that short clip of the walk was just gold! I found his channel as I am interested in primitive archery, so I would really enjoy it if you came back and did another video about that! 😃 And lastly, where is the link to the video of the butchering of the deer? I was really looking forward to that but I cant find it? Best wishes from a fan in the north of Sweden! 😊
Fascinating video, fair shout for doing a Co-lab, Will is the Obe-one kanobe here for you and your 2.3 mill subscriber! - You posting this will get loads of views for your channel, hope Will benefits too !! Will is a master and you and the channel are privileged to watch him..
Brings back memories of a day spent with Will and friends learning flint knapping. I'd love to go back and do the bronze sword casting. I highly recomend his courses. I'm currently working on a ring (my own little hobby) made with a bronze inner, an outer face of red deer antler and set with a flint cabochon. I'm thinking of calling it, 'The ring of the Lords'. 😂🤣😂
Awesome content!!! Really brings a contrast to your previous shelter build videos. Might want to have him as a guest out at your property. Do a co-build with him.
I live in the states and I can genuinely say I will subscribe. Wills personality and kindness is infectious and I found myself smiling along with you both on your adventure. I only wish I could experience this first hand. Thanks for the colab.
I really like this guy! Would love to learn all I could from him. I love history and learning about all the old civilizations. You should definitely come back out with Will and make more videos. Thank you for letting everyone know about him. Fascinating materials here.
What a great video. I've been following you both for a while and I really appreciate this collaboration, bushcraft, sheltercraft and primitive technology meet in the middle. I hope to be able to travel to England some time soon and follow a course from Will. Thanks again for the video, looks like you had a blast too
How awesome, I'm a tribe member of Wills, and love your channel too, was watching you 4.5 years ago while in labour with my 3rd child, the pallet wood cabin in the woods with your dad and little dog. Nice chilled watching got me through an unmedicated labour 🤣
As an anthropologist who deals with much the same information, I am very impressed with Mr. Lord's exemplary collection of artifacts, taxonomic identification, and even the reproductions utilizing retroengineering, including his knowledge of lithic technologies and skillsets and knowledge of climatic affects on geologically produced clevage points and strata. I'll be looking at Mr. Lord's channel more frequently. Thank you for an introduction to him as well a your well-produced videos of building ancient dwellings. Cheers!
saw Will Lord on tele a long while back with British survival expert Ed Stafford, was a brilliant show and it's great to see there are some unique folks out there living such creative lives.
