Ah yes, Death Equals Adder, a most nefarious villain. That is something I have seen throughout Japanese media. I don't know why they use =. Would be an interesting thing to dig into. Who needs magic when you have Gilius? Taric? Not sure, but that Master System version may have some slamming "style" music from that little bit I heard. It is neat to see all those spinoffs, even if they are not so good. Did I miss it or will it be mentioned in a later video, but Golden Axe Warrior? (;-; ) Also, that's pretty interesting how this game still does well in arcades. Sometimes, a game's just good enough as is.
I'm insanely curious...do you remember what else you've seen the = in? I can't recall anything! Golden Axe Warrior I probably SHOULD have mentioned but kind of forgot about! Maybe I'll shove that into the eventual Golden Axe 2 video! Yeah I mean I'm not shocked it still does well, it's a very well designed game! But Revenge of Death Adder...I can't wait until I get to that!
@@BClarkOMP That's fair. 2 is pretty good. I sort of thought you may slide it over to that one, because wouldn't they have come out around the same time? Revenge in the title of a game has a decent track record :p As for games, I want to say Ys Origins did that and a few other Falcom properties from a long time ago. I know I have seen others, but nothing else is coming to mind currently.
@@muragaru553 I actually have very little experience with 2 and 3, so I'm really looking forward to eventually getting to them! And in fact, yes...Golden Axe 2 and Warrior did come out in the same year! Let's just say that I planned that 😅 Oh, Falcom stuff huh? I admit I have not (yet) played Origins, but I have played a lot of the other earlier ones. I very well may have just forgotten about it in those!
@@BClarkOMP Well the remake came out real early in the ps2 life spam, so to judge it for that time frame, it looks no better or worse than games of that early era. I do find charm in em though.

The 3D version is not bad. Not as great as the arcade of course. It is also not bad, I put say its decent.
To be fair, I need to spend more time with it before judging. I just don't like the way ANY of those Sega PS2 remakes look!
