This was an amazing walking journey. What a shame of Bringley Heath only having a very short life on the Chase Line but the remains are still there which looks incredible to see.

Great walk, and a lovely bonus. Hoping to visit Rugeley Trent Valley next year, as looks a good spot for filming different trains

impressed, ive always regarded myself as knowledgeable about chase history(mines and railways) but to be honest id not heard about brindley heath station , tho id long suspected there was one, tho i more expected it too have used the old trackbed of the taceroo line, very interesting, thanks for sharing... regards, jenny

I be honest, I never heard about the Tackerloo Line till last week when someone tweeted me, truthfully the Hammerwich is a area I am interested in, I might be interested in doing but think it be done after covid disappears, these kind of videos are currently 'fill ins' while we in lockdown but there some days that I might visit a disused station or Railway

@@Sim0nTrains not many have heard of it to be fair, it was never a rail company line it was a private line built i belive to get spplies and workers to the chase camps (pre ww1)from what i can gather it utilised a spur coming of the back of west cannock number 5 pit, i do have some old photos somehere of a service made up of old 6 wheel wooden bodied coach stock hauled by the ex somewhere down south loco cannock wood, known localy as the tackeroo express, think john bull had some info on it might be worth hitting chasewaters archives

Was Cannock Chase a former royal forest. And is it still a forest or just a nature heritage site and woodland. As it’s known for Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). I still think that is should of been a forest.
