There are some airport that come down hard on luggage sizes, because these handling agents get a commission on the fines they hand out. Spain is taking legal action against handling agents in Spain doing this theft.
I've flown Ryanair loads of times from Newcastle, Alicante, Palma, Bergamo, Edinburgh and never once had bother with a carry on case. And how do they even measure 1mm?? If you mean 1cm over, well your 1cm over so you have to pay
@MallorcaUnderTheSun not exactly. They'd changed to a smaller plane with less seats but decided that because we'd not paid extra for allocated seats that it would be OK to bump us off the flight. Never again.
All these things people go through with Ryanair and yet they still travel with them, after all the fines and excess charges you may as well go with another airline
Totally ridiculous thing to say about the 1mm luggage safety. I would of probably questioned the person that came out with that statement and then withdrawn myself from flying with them on that particular day and in the future. It sounds drastic I know, but being dictated to in that manner...I simply wouldn't put up with it. I always endeavour to fly with EasyJet where possible and would probably postpone my trip if they weren't available.
@@MallorcaUnderTheSun It leaves a bad taste in the mouth when Airline representatives start being silly , but I understand your point about affordability and would of thought twice about it myself. Have to say, I was pleasantly surprised. Flew Ryanair a fortnight ago - they left and arrived on time. Cabin crew was excellent and our baggage was first out on belt. @@thornbottle the taxis are all on a meter. Just ask for a price before you get in. They are very well regulated at the airport
As Tommy says!
What I dont understand is why passengers need to get to the departure lounge to get the bags checked why not do that once you arrive?
priority means you can take a small case so not check it in.
Absolutely pathetic!! I would never travel with Ryan air
There are some airport that come down hard on luggage sizes, because these handling agents get a commission on the fines they hand out. Spain is taking legal action against handling agents in Spain doing this theft.
Its all about the money.
Im flying back to bristol from gran ca eris tomorrow. Not looking forward to it i can tell you. Weather rubbish
Fingers crossed it’ll be ok for you 🤗
I've flown Ryanair loads of times from Newcastle, Alicante, Palma, Bergamo, Edinburgh and never once had bother with a carry on case. And how do they even measure 1mm?? If you mean 1cm over, well your 1cm over so you have to pay
The 1mm is if it crosses that line on the sizer.
I still don't understand how they could see that, you would have to have phenomenal eyesight to be able to see a 1mm difference @@MallorcaUnderTheSun
@@britannia079they don’t. This is just misinformation BS.
Hi Alex if all else fails
Three Layers or four Layers of clothes 😂
Awfull thought when you arrive in palma
😂😂😂😂 that is definitely an option !
Funny how a 'safety issue' miraculously disappears once you've paid them 90€! What an absolute con!
Ryanair should be called Ripoff air
All airports are too expensive food and drink and Spain to ☀️😎
Am flying there tomorrow. Hopefully the weather improves lol
Ryanair wanted to deny us boarding because we hadn't paid for an allocated seat !! Will never travel with those crooks again.
Oh my goodness - I wonder if they over sold the flight
@MallorcaUnderTheSun not exactly. They'd changed to a smaller plane with less seats but decided that because we'd not paid extra for allocated seats that it would be OK to bump us off the flight. Never again.
@@shauntoole1553 oh my god !! That’s terrible !
I refuse to fly Ryanair. People whinge but rebook. Be true unto thyself.
Being true unto my bank balance 😂
1mm over - a safety issue on a 60+ tonne aeroplane..?!!
I'd sooner go on a bus and have a week in Skegness than travel anywhere on Ryanair.
We got a 50ml bottle of water taken off us in arricife
All these things people go through with Ryanair and yet they still travel with them, after all the fines and excess charges you may as well go with another airline
That'll be me then and I never learn lol!
I couldn't afford to do that unfortunately. My friend was threatened with being removed from the flight if she complained further!
@@MallorcaUnderTheSun It leaves a bad taste in the mouth when Airline representatives start being silly , but I understand your point about affordability and would of thought twice about it myself. Obviously the majority of winter flights are cheaper, so it can be a different ball game then.
Sometimes you have to look at whether Airlines are borderline bullies ....in certain cases It looks that way.
Keep going Alex , you make great videos and it's always appreciated. 👍
Who,keeps using Ryanair?I wouldn’t use them for free😂
I've flown Ryanair for years on a regular basis and never had any issues with them.
Money talks 😫
Have to say, I was pleasantly surprised. Flew Ryanair a fortnight ago - they left and arrived on time. Cabin crew was excellent and our baggage was first out on belt. We gave an approximate arrival time to our taxi driver and found him at terminal A on the exact minute we gave him. Seamless from start to finish on this occasion! We flew BA on return flight home and had a great experience with them too. The weather was perfect so, all in all, a great holiday 👍🏻
Should know better than to fly with Ryanair Alex.
@@fireflyrobert me too 🤷♂️
My airport . 30 mins from me 😂 .
we were told not to come from the Spanish people
so we didn't we went to Turkey instead much nicer and had a lot more friendly people
🙄
