I can't do the cowashing, because every time I wash my hair with cowashing hair products of any kind..my scalp itch a lot... So for me I have to shampoo my hair once a week, and a deep leaving con after shampoo.
I have tried a lot of As I Am products and we have similar hair types. Try the cleansing pudding (it is better than the Cowash), the Detangling leave in (is better than the ordinary leave in, in terms of slip and absorption) and the twisting cream is a great styler (it's like a gel-cream without the crunch) They fill in a lot of the gaps you mentioned.
Thanks for the review! As I Am line is my favorite product line! I use all of the products you have mentioned, plus the clarifying shampoo! :) When styling, I use the Leave-in as my base, then my double butter cream, and follow that up with my oil mixture. If I'm protective styling, doing a twist out or braid out, then I add my flaxseed gel for more definition.
I've tried the coiling jelly, the double butter cream and the cowash from this line. I actually like all of them. The cantu line is a really nice, accessible line as well.
I think this line is better suited for low porosity hair as there is little to no protein in most of the products...and they seem to be water based. The coiling jelly is amazing on my low porosity hair. I didn't get on with the leave-in either, it did nothing for my hair. But I love this line - and so does my hair. Thanks for the great review!
At my local hair shop they sell this line for max £12, didn't know they were that expensive! I tried the leave in and I didn't really like it either but used it, didn't want to waste my money, lol
I love the as I am coconut co-wash, I use it every week , it only cost me £5.99. I brought it in a hair shop Hackney. Dont buy it in paks they are so over priced in there.
I totally feel the same way about the co wash. It would be SO much better if there was a pump. I also didn't feel as if it had enough slip for my 4a,b,c hair. I think I may try the butter cream one day soon though. Thanks for sharing!
My hair and my wallet loves this line!!!!! My holy grail line as of now. My favs are the Curling Jelly and the Cowash. I wanna try the cleaning pudding on day.... I hate the shampoo. I'm looking for a good/ decent sulfate free shampoo.
I would like if you do a creme of nature review. And yes girl, I love to use different products from different lines. What works just works, doesn't matter the brand.
I have a similar hair type as you and I'm loving the Camille rose naturals almond Jake twisting butter ! If you haven't already you should try a twist out or braid out with it and do a video! If you like it plz do a Camille rose line review plz , much love
you should review the body shop rainforest moisture line. Its much more affordable and I really love the conditioner. I bought the hair butter aswell to review on my blog, but I think its a good one for black hair that not many naturalista's use! xx
I've actually tried this line! I like the dc and find the shampoo to stripping. I do also like the body shop banana conditioner I'm actually working on a five hair products under five or something like that which features a couple body shop products x
ah! i'm fanning out because you replied hehe. I haven't dried the shampoo because I use the shea moisture african black soap that is my miracle shampoo does not strip my hair at all! I came across the body shop line because I was looking for a new conditioner, I was using dr organics extra virgin olive oil but it wasn't doing anything but I like the consistency and the smell of the conditioner and it made my hair really soft so i'm a regular on that now and I'm trying the hair butter tomorrow i'm too excited! hehe I've got some samples of the shampoo but yeah probably won't use it! can't wait for the vid :)! xxx
I think when products are thick like the cowash, it makes it harder to access the product through a pump. That may be why the product is in a jar. Look Fantastic sells their products and the deep conditioner is cheaper on their site.
+Florozelle honestly i've learnt my lesson! haha i have researched a lot into it and am considering it but just don't currently have the time to wash 7 days in a row and I'm an all or nothing person to split it over time, yourself?
+ZigAndStuff I haven't tried it. I'm still researching it at the moment . The time factor and the amount of different products needed is quite off putting. I might just start off trying an apple cider vinegar or baking soda rinse and see how that goes.
What results should I be looking for in a leave in conditioner? I guess I don't pay much attention to it. I did notice that my hair felt really drive after I used the she moisture leave in conditioner.
something that helps you detangle to prep your hair for styling and if you have high porosity hair go for a moisturizing one but these are just my preferences
Dude, you are freaking stunning. I've been looking for a review this detailed for a while on this line but I kept getting distracted by your skin, lips, and eyes. Like Jesus, what's your lifestyle routine.
Um Um you've been getting robbed Bab 😳 who's been charging you over £9 for each of the products that's ridiculous! Co wash and double butter creme 💯❤️ leave in mehhhhh lol it good but not fab not to keen on the rest of their line
'Like' for the Beyoncé reference 😁
my hair loves it and I have 4b 4c hair

I thought the same about the leave-in but when I read the package it just said it was for prepping the hair
+reachinghairgreatness So do you leave it in or rinse it? So confused. lol
+TGRAM7 lol yes you leave it in but it's really
slippery and a little moisurizing
moisturizing*

+Jay Melonie wahhh?? aww shucks thanks so much pretty Jay xx
I enjoyed your video. I LOVE the DOUBLE BUTTER Cream as my styler. It mixes very well with other products on my 4C Hair.
Fabulous doll. I've been wanting to try their products.
omg, i love this product line..i mixed the leave in with black castor oil and water.. as a daily spray.....works for me... I'm sorry u didn't like it

i paid £6.99 for the cowash, they bumped you off girl
I think when products are thick like the cowash, it makes it harder to access the product through a pump. That may be why the product is in a jar. Look Fantastic sells their products and the deep conditioner is cheaper on their site.
Loved the cowash. I got mine from pak for about £7.
Have you ever tried the maximum hydration method?
+Florozelle honestly i've learnt my lesson! haha i have researched a lot into it and am considering it but just don't currently have the time to wash 7 days in a row and I'm an all or nothing person to split it over time, yourself?

I also love the Cantu line. I'd like to see a review of that brand 😊
I don't tend to get on with them that being said I haven't tried their products together maybe I should x
Can't hurt to try, right? lol Have a great weekend!
I have this line and agree with everything.
I 've been using the co wash for a while and I like it. The other products are too pricey.
The only person I've found on TH-cam with the same hair type as mine
Use the twisting cream from as i am
