@@LeadingtheEscapade Its a continuous line in a big loop the runs back aft to the cockpit on fair leads. Im assuming your spinnaker has torsion cables. Just make sure your always running downwind when raising or furling with that system or your spinnaker will wrap around the genoa and become a nightmare.
Hopefully it should be good 🤣🤣 it is funny how sailing becomes rusty even after a short break, Practice makes perfect is it, keep it up love watching Aussies on sailing videos
They were a little crazy but definitely not the worst we’ve had. So far 55 knots is our worst, after we lost our anchor and we were motoring in it 😱 Thankyou glad you liked it 😁🤙🏼
Oh thanks so much guys 🥰🥰we’ve definitely improved loads being out here everyday! Haha was scary to be chucked in the deep end but it’s all worked out ok xx
Love your channel! I really enjoy the technical aspect of sailing! Any chance you can film your supply run? Would love to see the different provisions, food when you stop in port. Thanks!
Hey Pete, thanks so much we’re so glad you’re enjoying 😆 for sure! We’re a bit behind in content but we’ll make sure we do that soon, just might take a little while to see but we do have some older provisioning episodes too 😁 Thankyou
Loved this episode... what's the difference between a tack and a jive? Sorry if this is a dumb question, I just really wanna learn to sail. Your an awesome couple.... bring on the little ones already! Lol 😆
A tack is changing direction with the wind blowing toward the front of the boat a jibe is changing direction with the wind blowing toward the back of the boat.
Thanks for answering the question Owen 😊 and thanks Adrian, glad you enjoyed the episode! That’s awesome, it’ll all make sense all of a sudden once you get out there and start doing it often but there’s always something new to learn 😅 thanks so much for your kind words 🥰
Yeah sure do, tends to work better as the main isn’t blocking the genoa then. But our genoa poll is broken unfortunately so that would be help when flying wing on wind. Need to get that fixed
Hey Mario, we’re between 6-8 weeks behind 😁 sometimes we catch up sooner but through summer because we have more going on it may get a little further behind too! However we do real time updates and stories/posts on our patreon site for patron’s if you’re ever interested 🥰
Stay Safe and have fun
Love the instruction Jason ❤️
Hahah we mucked up one of the written steps 😂 it was me (janaye) that wrote them lol!
Thanks y’all ✌️
Thanks Sean ☺️🤙🏼
Cheers guys
Thanks Trev
You have a top down furler on the spinnaker. The furling line is usually an endless loop.
Ok I’ll relay that to jason cuz I’m confused 🤔 😂

You fly your job and main “wing on wing” when your rocking down wind?

Jason didn’t hold back on his first impression of Crete. Looked like a bit of a shit show. Sails up / down / up / down.
Hahahah he sure did not!! We ended up loving chania in crete but crete isn’t the best place for sailing. More like a roadtrip island
