I have a 1918 DB Roadster. Have been told by part supplier that the model year is not the year of production. It is the year of sale.

There’s a lot of burnout marks in that parking lot.

There are a few things about this car that don't sit right with me, & they are
    1. There was no 1914 "model" as such. The first car was released on the 14th of November 1914 as the new 1915 "Model"
Ford was the same. The first Model T cars were built in late 1908, but were 1909 "models"
    2. The first Dodge cars in 1915 & some in 1916 used a small air pump, bolted to the block & driven by the No.4 exhaust cam lobe. This pumped a small amount of air pressure into the fuel tank to push fuel to the carb. There is no evidence of that pump, or a cover over the hole in the block, in the video.
    3. The Tail Light appears to be quite similar to a 1929/31 Ford item.
    4. The 1915 & '16 cars had a glove box on the right side. There is no evidence of this.
    5. The beautiful wire wheels were not available in 1914/15 & I have only ever seen them on closed cars. [Sedans & Coupes] They seem to have become available in 1917/'18. [not fully confirmed]
    6. There was no air pressure gauge on the dash & no hand air pump for when the fuel tank had no pressure before startup
    No chassis number was listed.
For 1914 manufactured cars, the chassis numbers are from 1 through to 370.
For 1915, they were from 371 through to 45000
Since this video was published in 2016, the chances of gaining the actual chassis number are likely to be nil
I believe this to be a 1917 to 1918 car. I had a late 1915 car many years ago.

Sports cars aren't a joke. You can easily crash in them if you don't know what you're doing.

Definitely not 1914 or '15 DB. Far too many differences from the early cars (BTW, DB never made an officially named 1914 car. The first DB's were built in late 1914 but were always referred to as the new for 1915 Dodge Brothers car.

    I don't think that's a 14... the 14 didn't have the splash apron. I have a 17 and it looks exactly the same...the 14 would run on magneto also
