- Another good Mavic Pro clone, only 241grams, brushed motors, GPS, 4K, optical flow, comes in 1,2 or 3 battery versions.
If you just want to see the flight review and do not to listen to my dolcet tones rambling on (and no one would blame you) then go to approx 10:55mins.
Overall a fairly good 'lower end of the market' drone with great RTH features. I have still to fully read and translate the chinglish instructions but the App itself is looking relatively well thought out.
All images and video are relayed back to the 4DRC Pro App however on my example they appears to be an issue with producing video, which when recorded are saved as MP4, however all my videos so far appear to be corrupted, Jpeg images are fine and appear to be of good quality.
All in all with a little refinement and perhaps a bit more production quality control this could be a winner.

Hi! is a really nice review you have done. Thanks for it. Now I have some questions for you. What is the model you have?. I know there are several options to buy, the top one is the 5G 4K 3 batteries. I watched in your video that you mentioned the 2,4 GHz connection, so I believe the model you have is not 5G, is that correct? The video quality is very decent, I do not know if it is 4K but it looks quite Good. I was wondering why the videos became corrupted. So, because of the lack of a SD card, much of the magic is going to be in the mobile phone.

Hi, thanks for review, I have a problem with the drone, I can’t connect it to the smartphone, after turning on the drone, the phone does not find the Wi-Fi point from the drone (version 5G). My LG G6 H873 phone supports WiFi 5 GHz. After power on the drone, the bottom of the camera has red flashing, and heats up very much, even if the drone does not fly, 10 minutes just stands and heats well. May be Wi-Fi of the drone dosn't work?
Did you have red flashing at the bottom of the camera?
I think your phone has Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac which appears to be one of the earlier 5g capable phones, I would get a WiFi analyser app and double check it. Excessive heating up indicates some electrical resistance somewhere, have you managed to fly it at all, even without the phone?
@@Vosper385 I check the phone by WiFi Analyzer app, it detect different WiFi on 52xx GHz, and I have HDMI Miracast Anycast M100 5G Wi-Fi, it works with my phone withaut problams. I think may be red flashing at the bottom of the camera, it's a signal about samthing wrong, WiFi chip in drone not working. I can controle the Drone by remote controller, but withaut connect with phone it lose 80% functionality. Do you have the same red flashing on the bottom of the camera?

Do you think that is may be posible to add a gopro cam in some part of the body of the drone?
YES! The dual camera module easily dismounts with one screw then unplugged. The empty space provides well for a gopro. No official mounts are there for it, so you could use velcro and E600 glue or such.

Great review especially the inclusion of good sample footage. But I seriously doubt if this is any close to Full HD, let alone the 4K.
Wish this baby had a better Image Stabilization (As expected from the product of this era) and all would be a nice package otherwise.
Thank you for that, At the end of the day it is one of a new breed of Mavic look-a-like budget drones and for the price its very good, but you are quite correct it is not match for the Mavic Mini or Mavic Pro.
So in ordered for the apps to worked on our phone we need a 5G phone? My husband has LG and I have Samsung J7 every time we tried to access the apps it keeps crushing.

It may be worth deleting and re-loading the Apps.

and download the manual, then once downloaded you should be able to increase the size of the document if needed.
Headless mode is where (as long as you take off with the front of the drone facing away from you) that right is right, left is left, etc no matter which way the drone orientates itself, so in theory if you some distance away from yourself when you pull back on the elevater stick the drone will come back to you.
I do not use this mode, I find there is no real need, its more of a gimmick, for me anyway.

Hi John, I recall getting about 20 minutes on mine, but that was after about the second flight so the battery had been exercised, 8 Minutes seems a bit short, try cycling the battery for a couple of goes and see if it improves.

Hi there, From what I see on the internet I think that your phone may not be 5G compatible.
You need 802.11 a/c to be 5G compatible, but your phone seems only to have:- Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, hotspot.

I bought this exact drone used, recently. For the cost, the video is actually quite good. The range is also good. Although drones are my new hobby, I have managed to clock in quite a few hours of good flight time this summer,. My unconscious muscle memory on the controller is becoming becoming natural. But recently I had one scary moment. I had flown the drone back, after flying about, and then I had it hover just forty feet above my head,. Then I slowly descended it towards the ground. It reached about six feet off the ground, and then all of a sudden, shot straight up, ...and was not stopping. Pulling down on the left joystick did absolutely nothing. No control. It climbed so high fast. I could barely see it. I finally hit the "return to home" button, and it came down hard. It bent one leg, but seems to work fine still. But, do you have any idea what would have caused this drone to do this? (Thanks, and yes it was all calibrated pre flight)
Hi there, that is unusual, the nearest similar episode I had was when I was testing a drone called Obtain for C-Fly,. When they downloaded the flight data they saw a intermittent broken link between the TX and drone so that might be my suggestion. I do not have the 4DRC F3 drone anymore but if I recall there is a signal bar on the screen, if you have recorded the flight along with a screen recording this might indicate if there was a signal drop out at the time.
With the more expensive drones if a signal drop out occurs then a return to home mode is automatically initiated where the drone goes to a pre-determined height in order to make its way back to home, that might be what has occurred with your drone but you just happened to intervene by pressing the return to home function on your transmitter.
Perhaps you can give it a try again, lets fly out 50 metres at approx 20-30 metres height, press the RTH button and note what happens.

I do not have the drone now but I recall the camera is movable by hand.
This might be silly, but how do you change the rotation of the camera like you did at 17:52. The manual never said anything about how to do that but you can tell the camera has that ability.
Apologies for the late reply, That is a result of the WiFi Lag, the camera does not have the ability to change its orientation, manual only here.

I think this drone could handle winds up to approx 20 Mph with its GPS function quite easily, however at 241 grams the footage I suspect might suffer.

Hi There, Its a year since I reviewed this model and I do not have it anymore but I'll try and help.
1. This is a GPS drone so if I remember you will need to wait until enough GPS satellites have been found in order for it to start, but you can use the GPS button to fly without GPS.
2. When using the App make sure you can see the number of satellites in the App, it should be able to fly when its received 7-8+ signals.

@@carhyurdetv7677 From what I recall there is a photocell on the bottom of the drone for height hold, in addition the GPS should be stabilising it in any event.
I am not getting very good video. it only captures a few frames even though the drone is quite close. is there any way of improving it? my phone is a Samsung Galaxy note 5, when I start the video it says the phone can only capture 1080 so I would have thought that would be better anyway as there is less data to send over wifi. I see your video was much better than mine but also lost quite a lot of frames. thanks
yes, the transmission rate can vary from phone to phone. Make sure your is 5G enabled, IE is has 802.11 AC in the phone connectivity specs. Another thing to test is with a WiFi analyser App to see what quality of signal the drone is transmitting. Unfortunately most of the review drones I receive go on to new owners so I do not have this one anymore.

Yes my Samsung Note 5 has both 2.4 and 5.8 GHz Wi-Fi but even when the drone is very close to the phone there is a lag of about 5 seconds and it captures very few frames. the signal strength on the Wi-Fi analyser is very strong. I don't have another phone to try so I don't know if the problem is with the drone or the phone. I will see if I can get hold of another phone to try it. I noticed something unusual about the second camera which is on the underside that It cannot be turned on when in GPS mode, only when in indoor mode.
@@johnjames8594 Hi John, If the WiFi Analyser is displaying a good signal from the drone that is probably indicative of the phone's reception capabilities, So for instance I use a Nokia 5 and 7, both of which are 802.11 A/C capable however on some drones I can only use one or the other, strangely both work brilliantly with all my DJI drones. I wonder if deleting the App and reloading it might have an effect? In both connectivity and the lower camera operation.

No change after reinstalling the app and even if the phone is a foot away from the drone the video has a 4 to 5 second delay and on record it captures only a few frames. My phone works great on both 2.4 and 5.8 GHz Wi-Fi because I can get really good video quality on skype video chat all over the house and garden so I don't think the phone is at fault. Anyway I will try another phone and post back my results. Thanks

Hi There, In my burble further down I do mention that it is the 4K version, however as usual with these lower price drones the '4K' will be an interpolation of stills/footage upscaled so in a way you are right saying 1080p.

Hi James, Personally I would recommend calibrating it every time you fly, both gyros and GPS.

@Umer Asad, Sorry for the late reply, The drones transmitter is 2.4Ghz, The Wifi is 2.4Ghz (5g or 4g depending which version), My version did not have a micro SD card slot, I do not believe any of the versions have onboard recording.

2. Can you see what the camera is seeing?
3. Is the drone well away from any metals objects / buildings / Jewellry (Watches, etc)? You need to be at least 10 Metres away, in an open area.

@@mathiaswieser3730 Oh Dear!, Dare I ask if you have tried using the GPS calibration button on the TX, or the App?, and did you calibrate the Gyros first?
Vosper385 I have calibrated the drone and it still won’t work. I calibrated both, the geometric and the horizontal calibration via app. If I turn the gps mode off (on the controller) it is flyable, but for a beginner like me it would be nice to have the return to home function, which is only available in gps mode. It feels like I have overlooked something, but I don’t get it.

Hi George, I think your phone may be an older model nowadays. The the 802.11 n appears to support 2.4g and 5g, that is not the same as being fully 5g compatible.

@@georgepap2025 Hi George, First of all you will not find a 4K pocket size drone for that price point, These so called 4K budget drones are at best Hobby grade and more likely Toy grade, The 4K spec will probably be an 'interpolation' of the stills camera upscaled. Try looking at the Eachine E58 model from Banggood, I think this is also available in Banggoods European warehouses as well.
I have seen a video of the XKJ 2020 and I think looking at the video it's probably not even 720p, let alone 4K. I have an Eachine E58 1080p model and that is fairly good and its take a Micro SD memory card for onboard recording, Storage/carrying cases for the E58 are also available. I have reviewed this model on my channel, have a look!

@@TrigveVickers HI, I used stick-on Velcro to attach the camera. another good cam you can use is "MD80" Very cheap cam as i don't use the cameras for anything only the drone i will just superglue it on. don't use the cam built in to the drone this will give you more fly time. SQ11, MD80 is the best to use its small great picture quality and they have their own power supply. enjoy sir.

Switch on your drone and go in to your phones settings (WiFi) and search for the drones WiFi Signal and wait for a notification, press yes or ok when your receive it then go in to the drones App.
Aqui no Brasil não funciona o GPS, retorno,etc etc e não aparece altitude , longitude , bateria, sigame , nada disso funciona .. passa acima de 20 metros não obedece mais o controle e sumiu.
Hola, me pregunto si todavía tienes activado el modo entrenador, esto te limita a 30 metros de altura y distancia, pero aún así puedes calibrar el GPS. ¿Su teléfono es compatible con 5G, IE 802.11ac?

OK, si su teléfono tiene 80211 a / c en sus especificaciones Wifi, entonces debería conectarse con el wifi 5g generado por el F3. Si su teléfono no tiene capacidad para 5g, entonces debe comprar el modelo Wifi de 2.4Ghz (4g), tenga en cuenta que el transmisor también funciona a 2.4 Ghz para la señal de radio.

@@SimGuyTom Hi Tom, The nearest thing to an FPV headset would be a VR headset that you put your phone in. Normal FPV headset are normally set to work on 5.8Ghz
With brushed motors this drone is a safe beginner option for young kids and unruly teenagers. Great price considering it includes 3 batteries and nice case.
Cons: Brushed motors (one will fail within 50 to 100 flights) and it will fall to it's death from the sky.
Brushed motors can't handle wind
No record to SD card.
My advice. Buy MJX b7 with 3 batteries if you can't afford Mavic mini.
I have one like this immediately on the first day of the flight and fell behind the engine, I even made a video about him as he fell from a height, bad motors must be redone right away
Hey that is true brush motors will fail eventually sometimes one maybe two but did you know that you can catch him before it goes too bad take and check at every flight you do after you pass 30 flights check your motors for heat get a temp gun if one motor is getting hotter than the other motor then that motor is about to fail 100% guarantee you change it and you are ready to go again I'm not an amateur I've been flying radio control airplanes helicopters and a little bit of everything and drones and quadcopters since 1980 off and on and I own right now I don't know maybe 15 20 of them fixing to sell I can't fly all at the same time but really true check your motors with a temp gauge if one motor is seating The 100 and 10 on a brush motor and it getting hot in the other one's cool you know that motor is going to go
@@mccoy5410 Still I don’t like brushed motors on gps camera drones because typically you want to fly them higher, further, and for longer times. Brushed best for toy quadcopters like the Nihui u807 or tinywhoops to be flown LOS.
My drone connects but it does not take off when I press take off
When the drone is powered on and connected, move the sticks on the transmitter down and out which should spin the motors, when they are turning you can either raise the throttle or press the take off button.

Hi Cristian, Yes This is the 5G 4K 3 Battery model, I agree with you I do not believe the camera to be true 4K, I think its an 'interpolation' of jpeg and video images produced by the drone, the jpeg images are very good, but more likely to be nearer to 2.7K quality. You will find a really good feature is the return to home function and the automatic return to home function when there is low battery. This little drone is better than what is on the surface, well worth a look. The App needs much more investigation which when time permits I will do.

Just as these good afternoon I would like to know how the drone connects to my cell phone because I asked for it by package and the first fault that I find is that it only came with a battery and the second is that I cannot connect it to wifi in this I would like to know what the procedure is to enter the application and be able to manipulate it from my cell phone, thank you very much for your video.

@@Vosper385 But, as I checked other TH-cam videos regarding this drone, the bottom edge has the height and distance information. It is odd! Did you cropped this piece information unintentionally? Anyway, I don't like this drone. I would prefer Eachine EX5 and Holy Stone HS510 (or perhaps ZLL RC SG108). I will receive a BUGS 19 soon and hope to see how good it is. Currently, for these low cost drones, my pick would be the DJI Mini SE, which can be purchased at $299.00.
