to the person who wrote in saying "I'm in my mid 20's and still feel lost and behind"; as long as you are still alive & thriving, you will never be behind no matter your circumstances. It legit took me 29 years to understand that everyone grows & glows at their own pace. I'm now in my early 30's and still live at home with my parents. I still don't have my drivers licence because of my crippling anxiety but I've never been so content and at peace and full of joy with myself because I finally shed the weight of worrying about others & what they thought of me & what was expected of me. I believe its about letting go of what's weighing us down rather than becoming someone new. Refine & redefine your core, fam ❤️❤️❤️

Yes, 29 is young, but honestly... It's not that young. I'm 38, and I have the experience of 1) greatly benefitting from making certain financial decisions at a younger age, and 2) wasting time in certain areas and potentially missing out now that I'm older.
It is 100% true that growth, understanding yourself, and finding your passions is a lifelong process, as I'm definitely still figuring a lot of things out. But just be mindful, because the years do fly.
@@ericachan452 Indeed, it does. You raise a good point on how time certainly does fly. Id love to hear more on how you feel about this opinion. I guess for myself, I see too many people in my age group complain about how they "wish they did XYZ when they were younger" or "if only I was X years old again I would be happier" and they feel like its too late for them to start. Things like buying your first house, starting university, changing career paths, making new friends, getting braces lol, becoming a parent, finding love, following a belief or discovering faith, moving across the world, imho I don't think there's an age too old for those things. Seeing yourself as "too old" or believing its "too late to start" is another weight to your yoke that you don't need and life is way too precious to be worrying about "If only...".

Michelle is literally so relatable and authentic; I think this is one of the reasons why I love her content dearly. Everyone I know personally always goes out with friends and does spontaneous things while I’m an homebody like Michelle.. and have only a couple of friends in my life. I would’ve never thought someone could be as relatable in terms of living life and such.. I’m just amazed by her huge following and amazing supporters who seem to feel the same way as me. She really deserves this and more🤍🤍

I love how you're open about being shy and living such a simple life as a TH-camr. I feel like when I watch lifestyle youtubers they're so outgoing and busy out and about but Michelle is so relatable and so comforting to watch.
The feeling of loneliness is so real. Also, mid-30s here, thought I had it figured out when I was 28 and scored my dream job only find out it was not anything I thought it would be. I had to restart at 35, so there is no deadline to have it figured out, as long as you have the drive and courage to see things through and start over you will be okay. Also remember, when you are starting over, you are not starting from scratch you are starting from experience! I promise!

I know people who are in their 30/@!#; 40s and still haven't figured it out...you shouldn't measure life with age. Some people are 18 and extremely smart and well adjusted and living like 30 yrs old and there are 30 years old still have no idea...but it's also important to do what you want to do and no matter what everybody is doing. Comparison is killing. Most people are depressed because they keep comparing their lives with others.

I've never commented on anyone's video before but it's an exception for you. I remember searching for "skincare routine" on youtube and stumbled upon your channel, which back then you had only 2 videos. Since then, I've never stopped coming back to watch more vids from you. And fast forward to today, whenever I have breaks in between work, after work, before bedtime- I'd rewatch your videos. They're on replay till I decide to stop simply because it makes me feel calm every-single-time. Please continue to do more, because most days, your videos are what keep me going and it might sounds weird and hard to believe but it's true, atleast for me! If there's something I'm grateful for in life, it'd be to have something i can watch over and over again without getting bored but just all the good feels when things get hard and that'd be your videos. So thank you and you truly deserve the number of followers because without you realising it, you've touched many simply by just posting a 10-15 min vids. Michelle, thank you for including us along your Living Alone diaries in NYC. I subscribed to you about a year ago after binge watching your videos, and that was one of the best things I’ve done! Because then I found Esther and then Freesia’s channel. It definitely can get lonely living in a city (as a New Yorker myself), but keeping loved ones close to you is super important. I know you will find more friends (just use Dobby haha) !! Also, you’re literally such a great daughter and your aspirations for your immigrant parents hit home to me.
