Kawaikute Gomen「可愛くてごめん」- HoneyWorks ft. Chuu-tan [Hayami Saori] (Piano Synthesia)

I've experienced something weird when I was working on this song.
I was working at around 02:20 mark when I tried to replay and listen to my cover progress from the beginning. Somehow during that time it sounded really off. I can't explain what happened inside my head, it just sounded.. boring and not exciting at all. It's like the complete opposite of how catchy the original song sounds.
I tried to repeat and listen to it numerous times yet nothing changed. It hits my confidence and I even considered dropping off this song.
Then I just randomly decided to listen to Animenz' KICKBACK, and suddenly everything changed.
Even though I didn't change anything but now my cover sounded somewhat enjoyable.
I was like "Daaaaammn!! does Animenz covers have some kind of healing properties or something? I should start listening more often then"
And everything goes fluently from that point to finish.
But in the end.. What do you guys really think about this cover anyway?
Was it just me.. or does it really sound bad?
