The past few weeks have been some of the hardest weeks of crabbing. Everything seems to be getting worse and now I'm completely starting over. I have to pull every crab pot I have out of the water and clean them. The problem with doing this is that it's very likely that I will loose all of my crab pot spots to the competition. I have lost over $25,000 in the past couple of weeks and July 4th, which is a huge crabbing holiday, is coming up first. After all of this I'm going on vacation to take a break for a little. When I get back we're going to hit it hard and get back to work!

Luke I'm Bobby from NC Saw you and your wife last year in Dunn NC when you had lunch at the BBQ restaurant. I didn't approach you because I knew you were on vacation. It was shocking to realize that you weren't joking about being a short man when a buddy and myself saw you talking to a lady in the car that stopped and spoke with. I just wanted to reach out and say hello and I very much enjoy your videos. Recently I watched your video of your heat exchanger disaster. If you were serious about it I could definitely help you out with any rewiring issues that you have. I owned and operated a shop outside of Fort Bragg NC. We use to do complete Automotive mechanical, rewiring and paint and body work up until last year when I was a victim of a home invasion due to the severity of my injuries we closed the shop after 16 years of business. I've recovered great still learning how to walk again but it's coming along well feeling confident in being good to go by my birthday July 27. Man you have been fighting the good fight with the dirty pots this year I don't envy you with that battle, but respect your will to fight, survive and prosper through it all. I'm looking forward to possibly heading up your way towards the end of your crab season. If you have a few minutes when I do u would very much enjoy checking out your boat and the marine dock. Love the new crab stand happy for you to hear its being profitable. I'm not a critic of any kind what so ever, have you thought about possibly putting a facia board around the crab stand roof over what you called the vegetable/ fruit stand and paint it white that wouldn't cost much and I think it would complete it appearance wise. I🎉t looks amazing for the amount of work you did in the time you finished it. Thanks for your time and I'll keep on watching for your videos. Give your buddy Riley a pat on the back for being a great guy and your friend by watching I can tell you care alit for him true friends are few and far between. Thanks again from Bobby IN NC

Keep your head up. I’m having one of these weeks too. I’m a mobile heavy truck and trailer mechanic. This week I worked on Sunday to help a customer/friend and dropped a fan hub while removing and popped a hole in his radiator. I had to buy his radiator and remove and replace it all for free putting me farther behind all week. This week has just been a flat out struggle for some reason. And to top the week off I blew a cold air cooler pipe while getting off work tonight and sitting on the side of the interstate waiting on a tow! We get through the hard times and enjoy the great times!

Those customers aren’t going to battle 1hr beltway traffic to buy crabs. The drive used to take 30min or less when they could cut across the key bridge. The beach is another 2.5 hrs south of where he is.

I run a lawn/landscape business in Tallahassee fl, and the past couple wks have been the comparison of what you’ve been going through, just problem after problem and doing everything you can to keep sprits up and keep grinding regardless. There’s a lot of people who show the good of business when everything is perfect and going well, but not enough that show the stuff you’re showing, and it’s really admirable. Keep it up man.

On the bottom of the AC where the water pulls up, you want to do that because the fan blades smack the water across the condensers and cool it down and keep it from being so much hotter. I think too much water flowing out of the bottom of the AC.

You can then use a heater control.vale to open and close off the flow of the water. And you may be able to T into the water log if it has a plug in the bottom of it and the water will be heated and you mat be able to do away with the other heater. It's just an idea you can look into and try.

This may sound crazy due to having to spend money. Find a private owned car wash that would let you give him a large amount of crabs in trade foe turning u on as many bays as you have people to run em and then u have best water pressure u can get and as many as you can run . Also if they do trade with ya on some crabs thatll mean no cash outta pocket and that shoukd speed you up as well as maybe able to wash a couple layers at once on the trailer and save some handling time. I also have a random question. Why couldn't you take a pressure washer Or two with you on the boat And have somebody wash them as you're pulling them. May take a few to get ahead before u can start setting them back so u don't transport them at all and no down time and no handling and moving them 4 to 5 times per pot and maybe if you could have done something like that it would have been worth purchasing or borrowing or renting a propane / gas powered steam pressure washer so it would clean them quicker as u were spraying. Hot water always cleans better and faster than cold.

Just a tip if no one else mentioned it! If that's the exact same AC, you can slide the guts out and swap them out, and leave the case in installed in place.

Luke - One thing I've learned over many years is: you may have negative experiences that cause negative emotions but those events in your life will all be LEARNING experiences. If you look at negative things as something to learn from, it then becomes a positive experience. You can still feel negatively about it but, ultimately, you learned from it. I'm am so impressed with how you handle the sh*t that comes your way. You are a good man, Luke.

1: Put your tailgate on the boat then use small generator on the boat with a cheep electric power washer (feed the PW with your hot water pump set up, the GPM should do just fine) wash as you pull and re-set. might take some work but can save you a few hours on coming in and back out. just an idea. keep the faith!!
