    This is most helpful video to explain virgin hair and remy hair very clearly .Virgin hair is high quality ,but price is extremely high .Most of customers are not willing to pay so much money on bundles or wigs .That is why remy hair occupy most market share of hair bundles or hair wig .Also remy hair has different curl patterns ,customers can choose what they like .Normally remy hair can last around 1 year .
    Most customers if no experienced enough to tell virgin hair from remy hair ,it is easy to buy remy hair at a very high price .Also many vendors market all the hair as virgin hair .

    Love learning all of this information on wigs. I can not style hair so I've been sticking with synthetic.

    Thank you for explaining this, Jill. I’ve never considered a human hair wig because I had no idea to figure out what I needed to shop for. My husband will be so pleased (haha) that I’m ready to shop for a human hair wig.

    thanks, this was really informative! I just went through my hair collection and had a few 'aha' moments. Surprising I didn't realise earlier my JR Carrie was human hair since it tangles so damn much!

      Hi Kim! I am learning so much too....with HH the expense is steep...so, I want to be as educated as I can if I want to eventually invest in these pieces! I am so disappointed to hear this about your JR piece. I would expect so much more from JR. :(

    Jill, you're not alone. I have wondered about this topic As well. And, I too, have seen the ads for those very inexpensive and unbelievable gorgeous "human hair" wigs on FB. They also advertise on wig websites so they look like a bonified wig company. Thank you for your efforts in keeping us informed.

    Jill thank you for everything you do and all the information you share. I first saw one of your videos about 2 weeks ago. You were showing the Jon Renau Top Notch and I was so impressed with how you looked with this topper. Well I ordered my first topper 2 days later. Jon Renau, Essentially You in shaded praline. I absolutely love it!! I feel like a new woman. Everyone at work just loves my hair and I’ve received so many compliments.
    Your instructions and tips have made this so easy. If I could I’d give you a hug I would. Anyway thanks again for taking your time to help people with their hair issues. You are a lovely person. I am looking forward to many more of your videos.

    OLapelx 3 for REMYHAIR? TO repair hair bonds from the processing of Remy hair?Anyone out there tried it?YOu,are teaching me so much...THANKS! Not certain if you are a,hairdresser or are familiar with Olaplex....I,use Olaplex on my bio hair and it helps repair cuticle bonds in processed hair...colored etc....I,wonder if Remy hair can be treated with Olaplex 3 avail to,the public, to repair bonds broken in virgin hair by the processing eg to blonde hair from darker,ones. IF,so,that could potentially,make the hair far more tangle free and manageable... as it does on colored or otherwise chemically treated bio,hair. I, wonder if Olaplex would affect the CAP? Any of your viewers tired it?

    Thank you Jill . I really learned a lot . So when I see a human hair on clearance like say on Wig Studio one web site. Does that mean it’s not a good quality? Have a blessed night.

      No, not at all. You just need to find out what type of human hair it is. ;)

    Very helpful Jill thank you 👌 I've only got human hair which companies sell the highest quality hair do you think? I've never seen a video comparison of quality 🤔

      Hi Clara! I have just dipped my toe in the HH pond, and so this would be something I would have to learn along the way. I would LOVE a comparison video like that!

    Thanks for clarifying this. I have a question. There is a big price discrepancy between Uniwigs toppers (Remy human hair) and NameBrandWigs toppers (also Remy human hair.) From what you're saying, have you found that Uniwigs quality is lacking in some way? I ask because I've ordered several toppers from Uniwigs, which are currently on their way to me, and I just wonder if I should expect them to be a little less than perfect!
    Thanks in advance, Keira

      There are many factors that would make this happen...from quality of hair, the amount of hair used in the piece, and probably other factors that I still need to learn about. ;) I have my HH uniwigs toppers and they are doing great. I have NOT tried other brands of HH pieces though....so I do not have anything to compare them too! WHEN I do....I will definitely follow up with my findings!

    how do you feel about silk hair toppers vs the mono ones?

  • @lindademski7239

    Did you have a problem with any of your toppers and is that why you did this video on hair types?

    • @JillLynnBeautyTherapy
      @JillLynnBeautyTherapy  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Linda! No...been very happy with the various types I have, but have noticed HH is lasting longer and much easier to blend w/ my own hair. So far my Uniwigs toppers that are HH are behaving nicely!

    What is the best cap for human hair, it’s so confusing? Thank you

    • @JillLynnBeautyTherapy
      @JillLynnBeautyTherapy  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I am currently trying to understand this too! I have tried the french top and monofilament...and to be honest I think I prefer the mono top because it lays nicer on my head. ?? Haha!

    So, you would recommend Remi human hair?

    • @JillLynnBeautyTherapy
      @JillLynnBeautyTherapy  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That seems to be the best choice...good quality. It can be spendy, but it still has the cuticle and should last quite some time, and tangle much less w/ good care.

    Human hair sounds gross, I'll stick with synthetic.
