That's a good question. Angelis starting in the classic series and going into both the Hit and Miller eras he would question some character personality changes. Someone like Emily gets a pass cause character traits from a shows first season don't always stick and in Emilys case you can argue he might have thought they were trying something different with the character cause she was still a newer character. Sir Handel as well considering he was missing after season 4 for a while so you can argue they were trying something new with the character to bring him back. Both delivered Sir Topham Hatt, Duncan, Percy, and James really well. Honestly, they’re both very imperfect, but I’ll have to reluctantly go with US dub. Brandon just has so much more energy. A lot of his voices don’t fit, but they’re not bad. And just listen to how he delivered Sir Handel when he’s tired out. Angelis didn’t even try that time!

Michael Brandon has actually changed his character voices a lot especially if you compare his Season 8 narration to his narration in Season 10. Characters like Freddie, Mighty Mac etc. all have had their voices changed. And in Season 11 he gave Henry a western voice.. so in other words Brandon can’t keep a consistent voice.
I'm not sure how many people will agree with me when I say this, but I've always preferred more mature, teenage-like voices for Thomas. It's why I tend to prefer the voice Michael Brandon gave him, and it's also why Martin Sherman still remains my favourite voice for Thomas.
I'm not a huge fan of the UK version, but sometimes I like Angelis's narration, but to me, I mostly prefer Brandon as the narrator since he's my 3rd favorite.
I'm honestly surprised how well Brandon can do voices. The reason he's not many's favourite likely is because his quality of voices vary. For instance, while Emily, Thomas, Duncan & James sound great, you got Edward, Skarloey and basically half of the characters in the show sounding awful or simply way too unsuiting. That and his voices are. . .inconsistent in regards of how they sound. Angelis definitely wins, but even he doesn't have the same energy he had back in the classic era. Regardless, both narrators do try their best and are still good regardless. Also 2:57 you're welcome
The US version is better than the UK version because Michael Brandon always puts in more details in these episodes unlike Michael Angelis and it was the version I grew up with.
I definietley prefer Angelis because he has a much more soothing voice and it is perfect for sleeping unlike Brandon's narration. Brandon definietley did some episodes better (Thomas to the Rescue, Duncan & the Old Mine, Bold & Brave, Flour Power, A Smooth Ride, Duncan Drops A Clanger, It's Good to Be Gordon, Fearless Freddie, Edward Strikes Out, Sticky Taffy Thomas, Duncan' Bluff, Thomas & the Storyteller, Hector the Horrid, Gordon & the Engineer, Cool Truckings, Duncan Does it All, Sir Handel in Charge, Ding-A-Ling, Heave Ho Thomas, Saved You, Duncan & the Hot Air Ballon, Don't Go Back, The Man in the Hills) but other than that Angelis did it better at least for me.

This is probably a pretty hot take, but one thing that’s always bothered me about both Michael Angelis and Ringo Starr’s narrations is that their voices for characters always felt very samey. What I mean by this is that it rarely ever sounded like they were putting on a voice to me. And even when they did, half the time they still sounded like they blended in too much with their other character voices. A good example of what I mean by this would be their voices for Donald and Douglas. Even though you can hear them trying to pull off an accent with them, they still sound pretty much the same as their usual narration and other voices. So half the time, I couldn’t even tell who was talking. And then take George Carlin’s voices for the twins. Some of them I like, and the others I don’t. Angelis does great voices for a lot of them, but also for most of them his voice stays the same. Brandon has a variety of voices, but a lot of them do not fit (e.g. Skarloey, Rheneas etc.) I grew up with Angelis but I think they’re both equal in my opinion
Aside from a few exceptions. Michael Angelos is way more pleasant to listen to. It feels like Brandon is not only trying to copy season 5 Alec Baldwin, but he’s also trying way to hard, witch is killing his performance.
Angelis' narration in the hit era can be boring and reeeeaaaaalllllyyy slow sometimes and Brandon's narration can be really annoying. (cough cough his narrow gauge engine voices)
2:57 iM tIrEed,no but Angelis wins by far now,Brandon's voices sound a bit too old/young for the engines example:Thomas sounds more older than he should and Edward too young,Brandon isnt the best narrator but still has his great moments, everyone has its own opinion
The UK dub is factually better. Sure George Carlin did great in the first 4 seasons and I don't mind the US dubs for the Brenner era because most of it is unchanged and for Seasons 13-16 none of that matters because both dubs sound terrible. 1. Thomas is British Show not an American one 2. Why people would watch the US dubs for Seasons 6 and 7 I will never understand because Season 6 has the best UK narration and the Season 7 UK dub has the classic music 3. John Hasler is the better Thomas voice because Joesph May sounds way too obnoxious (at least in the BWBA era) and John Hasler did way better than Ben Small 4. Michael Brandon's narration doesn't at all fit the tone for the HiT era because it is going for a more slower pace but when you have narration as loud as Michael Brandon's it feels so out of place. Michael Angelis' narration did defintely get slower and more boring but I can easily tolerate his voice more than Michael Brandon's in this era. Michael Angelis really is the voice of Thomas may he Rest in Peace...
Look, I'll give credit where credit due... In some cases, it's apparent that Brandon is putting in more effort than Angelis. I'm surprised some of the voices were actually decent, especially some of the people. But he put a little too much effort into a lot of the voices! These range from worse versions of CGI Henry's US voice to something straight out of Salty's Lighthouse (and some hick accents too). I'll take Angelis's voice any day!
I think Dennis Duck is a better name than Duck Studios but hey, this is your channel, do whatever you want, as for which narrator I prefer I definitely prefer Michael Angelis

SKARLOEY I'm tired UK SKARLOEY I'm tired us
Some of them I like, and the others I don’t. Angelis does great voices for a lot of them, but also for most of them his voice stays the same. Brandon has a variety of voices, but a lot of them do not fit (e.g. Skarloey, Rheneas etc.)
I grew up with Angelis but I think they’re both equal in my opinion
Brandon does Hector well
Michael Angelis is my favourite narrator because I grew up listening to him but I think Michael Brandon is overhated
Why do people hate Michael Brandon? He's perfectly fine as a narrator
He’s abysmal
They think he's too loud
Because all of his voices sound gruff or easily or too American
@@Gordonjamesheneryproductions what do u mean by that😟the voice angelis gave emily was gross
@@notorious.a.r.i. what..
Aside from a few exceptions. Michael Angelos is way more pleasant to listen to.
It feels like Brandon is not only trying to copy season 5 Alec Baldwin, but he’s also trying way to hard, witch is killing his performance.
I like Brandon he puts character in the voice's unlike Angeles
I for one personally prefer the UK Dub of the New Series (Series 8-12) because I had very good memories watching that dub during my childhood.
do you like some of the us voices
@@buddtubeyt7536 Yes, for some of them I do.
@@sudrianrailwaystudios676 Duncan in the US Sounds good
@@buddtubeyt7536 Yes. Even Hector having an Unique Voice in the US Dub is a lot funnier.
Definitely, Michael Angelis is best
Angelis' narration in the hit era can be boring and reeeeaaaaalllllyyy slow sometimes and Brandon's narration can be really annoying. (cough cough his narrow gauge engine voices)
Though at least Angelis managed to keep all of his classic character voices like James, Gordon, and Percy unlike Baldwin in season 6.
*cough cough* Brandon's Edward voice *cough cough*
Almost all of the narrow gauge engines voices are bad (Except Sir Handel and Duncan)
I grew up with both and even as a kid I never liked to hit era so Michael angelis in my opinion is better
Scottish Emily FTW
Nice new name and PFP
8:25 harvey cursed face
2:57 iM tIrEed,no but Angelis wins by far now,Brandon's voices sound a bit too old/young for the engines example:Thomas sounds more older than he should and Edward too young,Brandon isnt the best narrator but still has his great moments, everyone has its own opinion
Weeee - Skarloey
quack quack
Sickloey and Sickneas
I prefer angelis over Brandon because he has really good character voices like James, Emily, Thomas and Duncan and also percy
Most of Michael Brandon's character voices are so bad, they make the debut of the new Pokemon anime voice actors sound good by comparison.
The UK dub is factually better. Sure George Carlin did great in the first 4 seasons and I don't mind the US dubs for the Brenner era because most of it is unchanged and for Seasons 13-16 none of that matters because both dubs sound terrible.
1. Thomas is British Show not an American one
2. Why people would watch the US dubs for Seasons 6 and 7 I will never understand because Season 6 has the best UK narration and the Season 7 UK dub has the classic music
3. John Hasler is the better Thomas voice because Joesph May sounds way too obnoxious (at least in the BWBA era) and John Hasler did way better than Ben Small
Did i just see harveys eyes are wonky
Michael Brandon is more energetic, while Michael Angelis was more solemn.
Angelis for everybody except Diesel and Hector
When it comes to enthusiasm Brandon win's but when it comes to voices Angelis is better.
8:19 I hated Angelis' Voice for Harvey when it was like that
When Harvey first appeared he gave him a high pitched voice which sounded a lot better & when he decided to make it quite a low voice I didn't like it...
