0:11 As someone who has and still is in the Piggy Community being ever since Chapter 8 Book 1, I would consider Piggy more of a action/thriller game not so much a horror game. The main thing that drew me to piggy on the first place was never really the horror aspect in the first place but more so the story it told and it’s goofy style. Although the newer updates are leaning more into a horror aspect which is a nice change of pace. The new chapter that’s coming out this month is suppose to be the scariest one yet so that will be fun to play.
On the topic of the video though: this is really cool and I can’t wait to see more. For some reason I really like games that take place in underground labs that have had an experiment gone wrong.
In full honesty, I haven't played since the original came out, in which it clearly was copying the "Granny" horror mobile game design and had little visual quality or major effort. The issue was that regardless of that quality, the game blew up for a time (and benefits from such since it still receives development) and was the face of Roblox horror standards. I'll give it an honest modern-day review most likely in the future.
I love when small channels come out of nowhere and just create a masterpiece like “oh yeah so I went from a family owned dinner to a Michelin star restaurant in a couple weeks. I know it’s not that impressive, but just let me have thins one.”
This could be very cool as a doors inspired game, except it’s non-linear but progresses the further you get from the start (there could be some sort of entity that requires other players/punishes being solo to encourage people to stick together when in multiplayer) Feel like this could really be liminal

Quick blender tip, if you have two sides of edges (all with the same amount of edges), (at 3:22 ), you can select them all, press ctrl + E, bridge edge loops and tada! saved you 30 seconds of work!

I have no experience with making games, but I think a subsection like a heavy containment would do wonders for this game. Take some inspiration from Pressure (a doors inspired game.) Could make big open area rooms with large blast doors and containment cells with lore related items? Maybe a section where you go under water, maintenance basement/tunnel, etc. Whatever you do I will be waiting for the next part, keep it up!🤟

This looks like a really great game, I'm exited to see where this goes! I do have some recommendations and suggestions if you're willing to hear them out from what I've already seen in the video. 5:08 This minigame is pretty clever, I like it, 1 thing I'd change is the downtime when you loose, I know its meant to captivate the player's attention and use up their time, but if I were playing this game, waiting for a good 3 secs before getting another attempt would be annoying fast, I'd reduce it to 3 fast blinks of the colliders and have you ready to retry immediately afterwards. The minigame would become much faster this way, so if you're looking to pad out it's length I recommend a 4th level with 3 colliders but faster speed, or finding a different alternative to increase its length. The reason for this suggestion is, opposed to the scanner, which is a "passive" task, that you can adjust the scanning time accordingly and it not be a real detriment to gameplay, the computer minigame is an "active" task, meaning the player has to constantly engage with it, so if you force the player to wait upon a loss it'll quickly become tedious and not fun or enjoyable even if its not supposed to be, with its main goal to be to divert attention so creatures have more wiggle room to catch you while also being a progression block to the rewards that comes with it, it SHOULD engage with the player, don't settle for it being "tolerable at best". 6:50 I like the scanner, I would perhaps only recommend that you should have the ability to be mobile while scanning, so walking doesn't reset progress, but its totally fine if you ignored this. 8:00 I love that you did this, reminds me of the old main menu of a game I really like. I would just add a spooky guy at the doorway so that his shadow looms over, making the pose of your player model hiding behind the desk have more substance, the guy himself doesn't have to be in view, it'd add the fear of the unknown if you don't know what creature is standing there. 10:05 mmmm yes, the lockers, every horror game's oldest trick in the book! In all seriousness, lockers in horror games are just fine I'd say, if I'm understanding what this game's gameplay loop is gonna be like, lockers are gonna be a bit dull, something like outlast where you're constantly hopping into hiding spots till the scary goes away. Doors does this concept really well since you know that there's always a looming threat of Rush that is really fast, you get a cue for it that it is coming, and is a near run ender if you can't find a closet to hide in, giving some urgency to the player. You also don't have to wait long for him to dissapear so its not an obligatory waiting simulator for an enemy to pathfind outside the room after like 3 minutes of waiting, just for a different enemy to walk into the room. I'm sure you might already be aware of such an issue, but I said it as a just in case, you could achieve a similar affect of low waiting times if you make actively chasing enemies that don't notice you getting into a locker, run past it in a crazed rage to find you, so that you can exit the locker immediately and run the opposite direction the enemy went, and for players that are afraid, staying in a locker is still a viable and safe option. And also having ways to combat enemies that my randomly roam into the room, who's locker you're hiding in would be good, I assume items that blind or divert enemies is on the list, but having them always exit rooms players are hiding in, and not entering them either is a good alternative. That's it from what's been shown that I'd alter or add, really exited for part 2!
I can definitely mess with the downtime for computer calibration failure, but I did neglect to mention that the system can settings that can be adjusted, such as whether there is a calibration screen at all, and the speed of calibration. A majority of computers may not even have a calibration screen to worry about, but I’ll still take a look at it. As for scanning, it’s just a distance based system, you can move while scanning, it just happens to be the distance of which you walk from that can reset the scan progress. As for the lockers, you do have a point! It’s a sort of rite of passage at least for a majority of horror games, but I don’t intend to make it a constant use, more of QoL for the player. Stuff like being able to press buttons that make sounds or toilets that flush when you interact with it, it just adds to have something that does something (the equivalent would be how useless the DOORS beds are for hiding when you already have closets)
New to the channel, and in just 10 minutes time, I have witnessed what could be the best up-coming Roblox game I’m actually interested in the idea that this will be semi-open world instead of whatever you’d call something like Doors or Pressure Keep up the great work, and I can’t wait to possibly start playing this soon…

Not sure if you care for suggestions but if this is going to have any sort of combat, it’d be awesome to see a strength in numbers kind of deal, where scientists are lacking any substantial weaponry and rely on workplace objects to fend against the monsters. And even then it’d would prove difficult unless you worked with your team to take down threats. Anywho really awesome to see the progress you’re making!

suggestions circle cursor for computers use the menu camera thingy and use it in every single monitor have some cutscenes and have some defective biohazards lockers would require you to stick your head out for some air refrain from using dynamic faces (Draw them :3)
that procedurally generated map is actually super impressive. i tried my hand at doing a similar thing for an exploration game, but found that i wouldnt be able to get it to generate seamlessly without intersections unless i divided the generation into a 2d or 2d grid (which kinda clashes with the ideas i had for it);from the brief section i saw in this video it looks like you used a similar method to that, but i was wondering how exactly yours works if you'd be willing to share. either way this project looks like it's gonna be peak when you finish it lol

3:26 a tip for blender user, first way - fill a face and select the edge of face and hold f it will auto fill the circle second way - keep it a circle mesh and select top & bottom then right click find Loop tools (need enable this tool in Edit -> Preferences) and choose Bridge then bridge will make the top face and bottom face become 4 faces like hallow to your mesh
In my opinion this is a great game that would literally make me have a heart attack. Also, I have a decent entity idea. Shapeshifter In its regular form, it has pale white skin with claws and has an animation of a dog. It does not stop chasing you until out of sight for 5 seconds or you get in a locker. Once it stops chasing you, it will go somewhere else and do the following. -If it’s multiplayer, it shapeshifts into other players and blends in into the surroundings. -If it’s solo, does the same as multiplayer without the shapeshifting into other players. Note: If it’s too complicated for you, you don’t need the shapeshift into other players idea.

Hey, awaome game idea and also i have a news monster idea. It will bi called a hider. He will be the opposite to the seeket. It will hide in lockers, vents, dark corners or event behind Doors. And if the player comes to close or shines a light a them they will start screaming at running at you faster than the player. The player will have to blind the hider for about 5 seconds untill it runs off to the closes vent and runs away. Pretty cool idea!
You gotta make a tutorial on how to make a game like this, maybe a series split up into different videos (Environment for one, mechanics for the other, animations for another, etc etc.)
I'd consider livestream discussions over specific game mechanics! Larger tutorial videos might be interesting, but I don't know exactly what y'all may want to see as to how I make this game.
Just show us the way you want it to be in you're own style of creating a game like this. Because a lot of these tutorials are either decent or just generic in nature but yours is something I would consider watching for the sake of learning something new from you. New style of content of tutorials is what he is looking for (If I am correct). I might learn learn Lua in Roblox studio once I get access to it since I am on Linux and there might be something that I can hope for. You have a lot of potential so yeah. That is all!
Im definitely going to check this game out once it releases; one of the many games that actually have passion and pride within its works, not like Pet Simulator or Skibidi Toilet Tower Defense. On another note: i think the Seeker would look better if the head was more smooth like a blank head; no horns or face. It'd make it feel like it was crudely made out of something. And an option if you did want to add facial features, maybe try having just a bunch of eyes/eye sockets mashed together on the face, forming an abnormal mass. Gives it excellent vision, but only from one direction and maybe only to a limited distance

I think this would be a great game so if you don't mind I'm just going to tell you about a entity that I thought about It's basically a seeker but more mutated having more humanized body parts through the mutation they lost most of their senses besides hearing :> Yes I know it's basically is just a quiet place monster but hear me out Description a humanized monster still having the same skin as the other creature with the only thing that's mostly different that is them having lengthy long body parts and with holes that are completely blackened out (we'll get to that later) with a humanized mouth with their teeth being more sharpened and just a slight outline of a eye above the mouth How it would even work Basically whenever it appears there is a sound meter opening doors crouching or running or whatever will raise it it's not going to run over to you if you make noise because it doesn't know if you're a seeker or not but if you make noise when it's over near you when you already have made noise the holes and the slight outline of the eye will open making a yellow circle with the White of the eye being replaced by the Black It will continue to chase you unless you get out of sight and hide in the locker "Isn't it blind?" Did I not just say he literally opens his entire body with eyes If you do add this or if you read this thank you I really care if it doesn't get added I just wanted to express my little funny idea
at 3:28 if you select both rings by holding alt then right click you can select the option "Bridge Edge Loops" to automatically fill in faces instead of doing it manually

(Suggestion and question) Question: 1 question: This procedural tunel generation is awesome, can you pls tell more about how it works? 2 question: why your generator remaking big segment and how it checks why they need to make new big-segment and delet issued big-segment? Suggestion: if i understand, you can +- easily update them to make floors system(you can add segments with emergency stairs, working elevators, pits in middle of room, ladders, etc) but though this big-segments will more remember about worm-walker from minecraft, or just big mess sphere of rooms (my first bad and also best generation working concept from year ago says hi)
nice vid, keep up with the good work, there is a few systems in that game that i have no idea on how to make them, maybe you can explain some of the scripts in a txt or just copy and paste them somewhere so i could check it out (specially the computer system)
If you want entity ideas I have more, but this is my biggest one being called the Corrupt Display, this would be a boss entity, it would be a huge amalgamation of computer and tv screens and some sort of organic biomass which would take the form of tentacles to move around it would also have 2 large displaced screens in the middle of it, this entity would slightly reveal itself around lvl 30 (if possible) where you would see one of its large tentacles with a tv peering in through a window, it would then later be encountered around lvl 50-60 as a boss fight where it would be in a large room lodged into a wall, a cutscene would play where it dislodges itself and starts to roam around, you would have to avoid its gave while sneaking around disabling televisions, but when you disable one it will be alerted to that and will rush towards the disabled tv, when it spots you it will make a static noise and will head towards you, after you disable the final tv, it will make a mess of the place removing all cover, where you will then have to do a really short chase to a vent that had been revealed after it made a mess.
you should add a room that has an incinerator in it and in order to pass it you have to shut it off and jump in to go deeper in the facility, but you can’t go down before you have a rope

A majority of computers may not even have a calibration screen to worry about, but I’ll still take a look at it.
As for scanning, it’s just a distance based system, you can move while scanning, it just happens to be the distance of which you walk from that can reset the scan progress.
As for the lockers, you do have a point! It’s a sort of rite of passage at least for a majority of horror games, but I don’t intend to make it a constant use, more of QoL for the player. Stuff like being able to press buttons that make sounds or toilets that flush when you interact with it, it just adds to have something that does something (the equivalent would be how useless the DOORS beds are for hiding when you already have closets)

Not sure if you care for suggestions but if this is going to have any sort of combat, it’d be awesome to see a strength in numbers kind of deal, where scientists are lacking any substantial weaponry and rely on workplace objects to fend against the monsters. And even then it’d would prove difficult unless you worked with your team to take down threats.

I LOVE the idea of this type of game open world with randomly generated rooms. I hope this project goes well
that procedurally generated map is actually super impressive. i tried my hand at doing a similar thing for an exploration game, but found that i wouldnt be able to get it to generate seamlessly without intersections unless i divided the generation into a 2d or 2d grid (which kinda clashes with the ideas i had for it);from the brief section i saw in this video it looks like you used a similar method to that, but i was wondering how exactly yours works if you'd be willing to share. either way this project looks like it's gonna be peak when you finish it lol

3:26 a tip for blender user,
first way - fill a face and select the edge of face and hold f it will auto fill the circle
second way - keep it a circle mesh and select top & bottom then right click find Loop tools (need enable this tool in Edit -> Preferences) and choose Bridge
then bridge will make the top face and bottom face become 4 faces like hallow to your mesh
i really like how the entire time you play doors all you say is "i could do this" i find it very entertaining for some reason

Shapeshifter
In its regular form, it has pale white skin with claws and has an animation of a dog. It does not stop chasing you until out of sight for 5 seconds or you get in a locker. Once it stops chasing you, it will go somewhere else and do the following.
-If it’s multiplayer, it shapeshifts into other players and blends in into the surroundings.
-If it’s solo, does the same as multiplayer without the shapeshifting into other players.
Note: If it’s too complicated for you, you don’t need the shapeshift into other players idea.

Hey, awaome game idea and also i have a news monster idea. It will bi called a hider. He will be the opposite to the seeket. It will hide in lockers, vents, dark corners or event behind Doors. And if the player comes to close or shines a light a them they will start screaming at running at you faster than the player. The player will have to blind the hider for about 5 seconds untill it runs off to the closes vent and runs away. Pretty cool idea!
You gotta make a tutorial on how to make a game like this, maybe a series split up into different videos (Environment for one, mechanics for the other, animations for another, etc etc.)
I'd consider livestream discussions over specific game mechanics! Larger tutorial videos might be interesting, but I don't know exactly what y'all may want to see as to how I make this game.
Just show us the way you want it to be in you're own style of creating a game like this. Because a lot of these tutorials are either decent or just generic in nature but yours is something I would consider watching for the sake of learning something new from you. New style of content of tutorials is what he is looking for (If I am correct). I might learn learn Lua in Roblox studio once I get access to it since I am on Linux and there might be something that I can hope for. You have a lot of potential so yeah. That is all!

Im definitely going to check this game out once it releases; one of the many games that actually have passion and pride within its works, not like Pet Simulator or Skibidi Toilet Tower Defense.
On another note: i think the Seeker would look better if the head was more smooth like a blank head; no horns or face. It'd make it feel like it was crudely made out of something. And an option if you did want to add facial features, maybe try having just a bunch of eyes/eye sockets mashed together on the face, forming an abnormal mass. Gives it excellent vision, but only from one direction and maybe only to a limited distance

a humanized monster still having the same skin as the other creature with the only thing that's mostly different that is them having lengthy long body parts and with holes that are completely blackened out (we'll get to that later) with a humanized mouth with their teeth being more sharpened and just a slight outline of a eye above the mouth
How it would even work
Basically whenever it appears there is a sound meter opening doors crouching or running or whatever will raise it it's not going to run over to you if you make noise because it doesn't know if you're a seeker or not but if you make noise when it's over near you when you already have made noise the holes and the slight outline of the eye will open making a yellow circle with the White of the eye being replaced by the Black
It will continue to chase you unless you get out of sight and hide in the locker

at 3:28 if you select both rings by holding alt then right click you can select the option "Bridge Edge Loops" to automatically fill in faces instead of doing it manually

1 question: This procedural tunel generation is awesome, can you pls tell more about how it works?
2 question: why your generator remaking big segment and how it checks why they need to make new big-segment and delet issued big-segment?
Suggestion:
if i understand, you can +- easily update them to make floors system(you can add segments with emergency stairs, working elevators, pits in middle of room, ladders, etc) but though this big-segments will more remember about worm-walker from minecraft, or just big mess sphere of rooms (my first bad and also best generation working concept from year ago says hi)
nice vid, keep up with the good work, there is a few systems in that game that i have no idea on how to make them, maybe you can explain some of the scripts in a txt or just copy and paste them somewhere so i could check it out (specially the computer system)
This ended up so much better then I expected! I thought it would just be another toolbox asset game.
If you want entity ideas I have more, but this is my biggest one being called the Corrupt Display, this would be a boss entity, it would be a huge amalgamation of computer and tv screens and some sort of organic biomass which would take the form of tentacles to move around it would also have 2 large displaced screens in the middle of it, this entity would slightly reveal itself around lvl 30 (if possible) where you would see one of its large tentacles with a tv peering in through a window, it would then later be encountered around lvl 50-60 as a boss fight where it would be in a large room lodged into a wall, a cutscene would play where it dislodges itself and starts to roam around, you would have to avoid its gave while sneaking around disabling televisions, but when you disable one it will be alerted to that and will rush towards the disabled tv, when it spots you it will make a static noise and will head towards you, after you disable the final tv, it will make a mess of the place removing all cover, where you will then have to do a really short chase to a vent that had been revealed after it made a mess.
When I see this game I thought of scp 610 from the scp universe, Really cool man, I cant wait to see the finished project
