    Hi Laura, Just found you channel! My wife and I live aboard our boat, an ocean voyaging sailboat, and we can understand life which never quits moving, often confined to very small spaces! My spiritual path - my wife is a devout Episcopalian, but we respect one another's practices - is quite similar to yours. I've been interested in The Craft since I was 10 years old or so, (I'm in my 60's now!) and have always known I was Pagan, as nature and all living and natural things have always been sacred space for me. It is in the last 15 years or so that I've felt the witchy pull quite strongly. I am now settling on a path. Anyway, glad to have found you! Cheers!

    Love the way that you gave read it from being a child, encoded it permanently in your mind and that's the way it should and will stay to have the full felt meaning of the word 😊

      I honestly can’t help it haha my brain won’t let me read the words how I know they’re pronounced now - it’s too ingrained!

    I love celebrating all of them to be honest, imbolc in particular is a great one , it helps gets me through my least favourite time of the year, I usually start with cleaning/ cleansing the house, treating my self to some spring timey flowers and making brigid dolls with my daughters as well as a bit of baking any excuse to eat really 😁 xx

    I love watching your videos whether it is your boat life or Speaking about Paganism ... Being in the Southern Hemisphere I do celebrate the Sabbats in it's Season ... I am loving using the different Seasons of the Witch Oracles , not all of the Sabbats yet being published. Thank you for sharing.

      This is one reason I added the disclaimer in the caption - these festivals definitely don’t make seasonal sense for a large part of the world and I think we should all take and use what resonates and don’t worry too much about doing it “right”. Thank you for watching 🧡

    Hi Laura, hope you're doing well my dear. Really enjoying following you on your journey. Just wanted to say all the best for spring, may you have good experiences and meet wonderful people on your journey. You're a very interesting person. Love to have a coffee n a conversation with you one day. Maybe we'll bump into each other on life's path one day down the road. Who knows maybe. By the way I'm a Christian. But I'm easy going, don't judge people for their beliefs. People have to find their own way in things. Bless you , you take care. ✌️😁

    I absolutely love your pagan videos. It's so lovely to know I'm not the only one who pronounces Samhain like that 😄. I really struggle to say it the "correct way" and I had a conversation last year with the lovely lady who owns my favourite crystal shop and we just decided we were calling it Sam-hane regardless of what the gatekeepers think 😜✨

    • @Theritualkitchen
      @Theritualkitchen  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Haha brilliant! My brain will always say Sam-hane - it’s just stuck like that! Thank you for watching, this channel will be a lot more witchy from here ✨

    • @ossian1937
      @ossian1937 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      To native Irish or Scots Gaelic ears though, Sam hane just sounds either like someone’s name, or just meaningless nonsense. If Gaelic orthography is difficult for you, why not just use Hallowe’en? I’m no gatekeeper, but I do speak Scots Gaelic and don’t have any problem with folk using Gaelic words or terminologies for a bit of Celtic glamour in whatever context.. shop names, online businesses etc. However, I don’t think it’s too much to ask that folk at least have a reasonable stab at pronouncing them, instead of trying to crowbar English language orthographic conventions onto Gaelic words, and thus, rendering them meaningless word salads.
      If I pronounced, say Tewkesbury as “ Teh-weks -burry “ or the “Ch” in Christmas as it’s pronounced in Cherry or Tired as “Tie-red”, I’d struggle to be understood. There’s a ton of sound files online these days…eg; Twitter has “@the Scots Gaelic for “ account…it even has the Gaelic word for Witch!

    I think the pagan year would have had 13 month in line with the moon cycles. There is evidence Sept 7 Oct 8 Nov 9 Dec 10 January 11 Feb 12 March 13 that is 364 days so April starts one day later hence April fools day because it is not April yet. That is just my opinion

    • @Theritualkitchen
      @Theritualkitchen  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I think you’re definitely on to something! It makes so much sense - and it would actually work so well, we’d just have one random spare day but it could be a “nothing” day - no date, no one has to do anything - just a spare!

    • @keithadams1538
      @keithadams1538 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Theritualkitchen I think the spare day was April fools day. The 13th month must have had a name but what?.
