I think for him, I kinda agree with pkamvp the best choice will be the Spurs. Kawhi is a super star, is impressive how easy he gets his points in the playoffs, they still have Tony and Mills at PG position! If he signs there they are automatic favorites. - I think the signing of Billy Donovan shows that Durant will not sign back with the team next year. I think Donovan would be a great fit for a rebuilding team - One more point concerning Timmy, I think he is playing every game like it's going to be his last. He is putting up crazy minutes (39 min). Hi, mainly thanks to this channel i am a very new basketball fan (from England) still a few thing i don't get 1 why do teams trade in players then waive them straight away what do they get from that. and 2 what were the offical and supposed fair reason chris paul was allowed to go to the clippers and not the lakers is don't understand. and thanks so much for the channel
sjewitt22 Teams usually do not waive players unless their is completely no use for them. If they are waived, their is usually a draft pick or money involved in the trade. Players are usually bought out instead of waived. The reason Chris Paul went to the Clippers and not the Lakers is because Mark Cuban( the smart yet snobbish) owner of the Mavericks complained to the NBA. The NBA owned the New Orleans Hornets at the time and chose to decline the trade. (the NBA has the choice to decline a trade if they want to)

sjewitt22 Well, this reason doesn't work all the time, but sometimes a team has too many players(the maximum is fifteen or sixteen) and they will let go of a player because their are too many spots. But usually players are bought out(i.e. Amare Stoudamire, Metta World Peace, Jameer Nelson), so that way they at least get money for being released( usually the money they get is higher than their salary) Also you can waive players and send them to the NBA Development League. This is where teams send players to develop their skills to become future NBA players. But, this is usually used for younger players and not veterans because veterans have a more likely chance of being signed to a contender. That is why bad teams usually sign young players to develop. Veteran let go of young players(unless they are already fundamantally sound) and young teams let go of old players( unless they need a mentor)
