The entombment of bodies above ground are housed in a mausoleum. Based on the first story, it sounds like it's a public mausoleum. I walked through a mausoleum once, over 15 years ago, prior to the funeral service of my husband's paternal grandmother. It was actually quite peaceful and not creepy at all, but to be fair this happened during late morning so nothing to be afraid of.

Since he said it was inside where the services are held, I thought it was where they would place urns. When I used to work in the air force honor guard we saw many of those. Instead of being buried, the disease decided to burn their bodies into ashes and just place them behind walls of the hallways.

@@garyvang1487 You can entomb both urns and whole bodies in a mausoleum here in the U.S. It costs more to entomb a whole body than an urn due to the bigger space required, so I'm sure cost may determine which option a family goes with.

That's weird. I used to go to that hospital all the time for training and never felt, heard, or seen anything. Not that I want to lol

I remember going to a funeral inside a mausoleum and it smelled really bad, like rotten meat. It was so bad I was having a hard time. I didn’t say anything but I left shortly.
