Most places are quite okay, but in terms of safety, I did a video on safe and unsafe neighbourhoods in Edmonton and Alberta. I have a bias for SW Edmonton, though😊
Thank you. We did our research. So as a caveat, pls do your own extensive research too as what works for us may not work for you. That said, cost of living was a major factor for us. The cost of living in Edmonton is lower than Calgary especially if you have a family. A decent 2bed apartment in Edmonton could go for $1100 to $1300 CAD while Calgary would start from $1400 CAD upwards. Same as buying a house if that's your plan in the long run. EDMONTON is also the capital of Alberta so it is a major town in terms of job opportunities and there are actually jobs here. Edmonton seems Calmer and more relaxed compared to Calgary. Edmonton is like Abuja and Calgary they say is like Lagos. We wanted the more relaxed environment. Nevertheless Calgary seem like more fun, so if you're really about that, then Edmonton may not work for you. Also Edmonton may be colder than Calgary. But people are surviving and thriving here so, that was not a major deterrent for us. These among others were our reasons for choosing Edmonton.
Thank you for taking us through your walk beautiful scenery they have, your reasons for japa are valid, nothing seems to work in naija anymore. Please do a video of things to do as a newcomer in Edmonton.
Thank you for engaging Omolara 🙏 As per the video, do you mean the NECESSARY steps a newcomer must take towards settling in or just fun things a newcomer can do? Please let me know.
Hello Sandra, thank you for making this video. My brother is coming to Edmonton today. How much are one room apartments over there? He is coming as a visitor, what are some recommendations for work. Thank you again Sandra
Congratulations on the switch from Nigeria to Edmonton, please how was the airport immigration like , I mean did they ask lots of questions and did you land directly in Edmonton from Nigeria. Thanks
Thank you. The airport immigration was seamless. They barely asked us any questions except about the milk I carried in a ziplock bag. I simply told them it's for my child. We landed first in Calgary and took a connecting flight to Edmonton.
@@SandraOgb am really happy for you guys , having an opportunity to live a better life. Is getting a job that hard in Edmonton because someone said it's hard getting a job there.
Hello Sandra, happy new year, i would be relocating from Montreal Quebec to Edmonton Alberta any moment soon, please what part in Edmonton can i get an affordable studio apartment or one bedroom apartment for rent, and also what part in Edmonton is easy to find an employment.
Hi, you can get one bedroom apartments or studio apartments in the NW area of Edmonton. You'd see prices ranging from $550 to $1000. You can find many 1bed basement apartments in SW Edmonton around Alwood and its environs. As for jobs, it always depends on what you're looking for, wether you're looking to get remote or on-site etc. However, for some remote jobs, you can check HGS, CONCENTRIX, 247 INTOUCH.
I will be with you in Edmonton. I'm in the United kingdom right now
Edmonton awaits you!
Thank you for taking us along. I really enjoyed watching 💗
I am really glad that you enjoyed the vlog. Thank you for all your comments.
Can you recommend good neighbourhoods for families
