Using Tilmor Bed Lifter In Mulched Garlic Beds

Here's an update of how the garlic digger/bed lifter has worked for us this year. We show how it normally works with real time footage of digging, so you get an idea of how fast we are moving down the row, and how it handles our system (mulched beds and can be weedy in spots).

It's easy to see this piece of equipment is a huge time saver. (caps key does't work all the time...) when it is working without lifting up, digging will be a breeze. Just curious, do you have an estimate of the time this saves you? I only grow enough for us and that is a lot of work, can't imagine pulling 800 bulbs. Seeing all those bulbs hanging from the rafters must be a great feeling!
You two have a very interesting farm, I love it and sure appreciate seeing how you do things. If I was young I would jump into it for sure. working on a farm is very satisfying and love being out in the garden or fields on our small farm.
do you sell your garlic at a farmers market?

I'd guess we are 2-3x faster with the digger. Digger can do it all in one shot, but we can't! (Since we still sort and hang)
We sell at a Countyline Produce Auction in West Salem. The garlic will be cured in a month or so, then to the auction!

@@familyfarmlivestock4949 that sure frees up a lot of your time! Imagine you will get faster as you go along too.
sell at an auction? never heard of that in canada but maybe I don't know the right people. Will ask around about them. the odd time we have a bit extra of garlic, potatoe or carrots and it would be nice to sell at an auction since I am not someone who likes selling at markets.
