She is extremely underrated. Her live performances are just as perfect as studio recordings. Its so unique and beautiful. God I wish to see her perform live

She could sell herself for the common pop music but she didn't and I'm glad for this. She better be underrated then be like the other tousand singer, don't you think?
Not always as perfect as studio recordings. In this one, you can clearly hear that she doesn't always hit the notes with full confidence and in some moments she's on the verge of losing control, even though she manages to stay in tune. I also remember a 2014 concert in Oslo where she's quite out of tune. She's human, singers experience that sooner or later. But yes, generally speaking there are quite a few incredible live performances of hers and I'm sure there will be more of those in the future as well.

3:30 I love how the musicians nod their head in sync during the long "oooo" when the note gets higher, and aurora is just singing there while standing still. It's as if Aurora is the falling drop of water, and the ripple effect happens to the musicians, and then continued by the cheering audience. It gives me goosebumps everytime.

She is magnificent, but I actually find her extremely relatable. She is very human and there is magic in her that we all have within us, that we can tap into. It is magical and rare but so is life and everything we may take for granted each day

Maybe I've been living under a rock because this is the first time I've ever heard of this. It sounds waves gently pulling away from the sand and back into the ocean, or the early morning songs of birds, or the pitter patter of rain on a dull winter day. Her voice is serenity. I can't explain it. But it's like every fairytale and beautifully abstract thing come true.

One day, before I slept, I listened to this and I swear I had the most vivid image on my mind. I saw myself flying above a tree and the tree was moving. It had red leaves, like fall. Idk why but I felt like I was there and it was a magical world and I was happy. I really love Aurora's songs because they make me so happy ♥
She's so pure, and her voice... Lord, her voice can melt every heart.

“Black Water Lilies was a dream I had. The melody was playing in the background. And I was dreaming that there was a hand, and I grabbed it, and it took me underwater. And there was a river, unter the water, running down. And I floated on the river, under the water, and I came to this magic place with lots of black water lilies - floating on the water - which was underneath the water. It was a very strange dream. When I woke up I ran straight to the piano and wrote the song.”

Aurora is magical. I mean that in the most literal sense possible. Not only her voice, but her entire persona evokes the feeling of being in a fantasy. Soft and ethereal, haunting and mysterious, a little silly and playful too. Just as any good fairytale should be. This is what I imagine the songs of fairies and mermaids to sound like. I’m almost convinced that if Aurora pulled her hair back she’d have little pointed ears. She is by all meanings of the word…magical. ✨

Aurora's music to me is for everyone🌟. I'm 17 so for me it's hard to find people my age who are actually interested in songs as beautiful as this. There unfortunately only few people in my generation understand heartfelt music that carry beautiful messages like Aurora's songs.

The thing I love most about this song is the imagery that the lyrics conjure for me. Because those images are supported by the music so wonderfully. It really taps into something natural and primordial in me. I can feel myself being pulled out of my comfort zone and into the water, only to find even more comfort and beauty in the freedom below. I can close my eyes and feel like I’m afloat on a river amongst the lilies, heading towards the ocean.
I know that she has said this song was about a dream she had where she was floating down an underwater river into an underwater ocean. The song has a real dreamlike quality to it as well. So it’s really firing on all cylinders. On of my favorite songs. Not just from her, but in general.

This song is mesmerizing, and Aurora's voice is incredible. I have to give a shout out to Martin for using that six string Fender Vintera bass though...I never appreciated those guitars until now. Amazing how he can get the bass line and guitar parts out of one instrument. Very cool.
