The stitch one is probably real. Earlier pops always had inconsistent paint jobs even down to flat out forgetting the gloss on the eyes.

I was sat here going surely he’s noticed that. Even when he read the Jason Voorhees font I was like surely he’s.... nope he’s missed it again.
I was also wondering how he didn't notice the missing MOVIES tag. Also, a common method to determine if it's a fake or not, is to look at the POP! graphic, specifically the orange to white gradient: real ones have like a 50-50 ratio of orange and white and - most importantly - when looking closer, you can see little dots in the gradient, while fakes have a fluent gradient alltogether. So, from a distance, I say they are fake.
The fake Jason pop doesn’t even say Pop! Movies. That’s a dead giveaway right there. 😂

The Jason when you look at everywhere the box said Pop but no " movies" under it on all sides and front that i could see. The Alien is the same way. Lol
The top and bottom of fake boxes tend to be a darker gray always. Usually that’s what I go by and the date stamp/sticker on the bottom. Because not all sellers take pictures of their pops out-of-box. Nice video

About a year ago I bought the Alien from that website on purpose so I could prank my friends into thinking I had a rare figure lol. They believed me until I told them it was fake
The problem I have with fakes is regular people get them unknowingly and then when they turn to sell it or pawn it, that person would have no idea. Now I just ask "where did you get it?" and if they say Ebay I ask to show me the listing, or funko mall I dont want it
On the stitch it could be real, I see a variance in the box and the glossiness of the paint on eyes all the time.

I noticed that with the "fake" Jason Pop's head is more to the body while the "real" one shows more neck.

On jason over the years some of the reprints have the darker box and some have lighter grey boxes so that is not always sign of a bootleg. I have also seen the font change on the legit ones which is weird. The biggest tell on that fake though is the missing movies on the front.

The stitch looks like it's probably real and I wanted to point out that the vorhees you just got has an earlier date on the bottom which could explain the differences.

Funko does quality control? There are so many pops with missing parts lmao
the only thing with the Jason is that the real one also could have a black background instead of the blue. the black background is common with the error Jason that glowed Blue. also the Blue Glow error could also have a regular gold Chase sticker instead of a Glow Chase sticker which i believe may have also been an error, but wasn’t unusual.
I think I may be in a similar boat to this. I ordered Carl and Ellie from up as kids on ebay for $40 from a seller in China. Within 5 hours of my order I was informed that the item had been removed from ebay but the next day I did get a shipping confirmation. At this point I assume its fake but as long as its convincing enough I wont argue given this is a normally $300 figure and beyond this I will never own this figure legitimately

Ok I’m going to be honest, I collect out of box, so I wouldn’t mind getting a fake one since they basically look the same out of box
I mean it’s a pretty cool cheap way. To get “pops” that some people could never afford. So I’m OK with it as long as people don’t try to resell them and claim that they are real.

The older horror boxes are grey on the top and bottom. I just noticed that myself with a Michael Myers box from 2015 as apposed to my one from 2019.

that Jason pop really has a lot of inconsitencies. the stitch one is passable as a real pop, but the other 2 for sure are not. i got the GITD Loch Ness to compare real/fake as well. thats another decent fake with a good glow

What's obvious on the bottom of the box is the bold FUNKO logo on the fake one, it's like that on most fakes. Just happened to me with ghost face but didn't process payment :)

I can't help but notice that the fake Jason figure has a black undershirt while the legitimate one has a grey shirt. Also the legit one has a gold-ish scar while the fake one looks silver. Interesting.
In all fairness, I probably have one or 2 fakes in my collection, but if it's seriously that hard to tell and I don';t have the real one to compare it to, I don't really mind

@JACKSON WILLAFORD exactly, real or fake, a product is a product and as long as the consumer(s) buy it and feels satisfaction with said purchase, it is not even a loss at all! Quite the opposite. Products are made to be used and enjoyed for the value of what to each and every person for which buys it. To some it may be the value in collecting and to many others it is that the product fits the required usage; but both outcomes conclude a personal level of given happiness. :D

I'm not a funko pop collector, but I am a Yugioh collector where fake cards do exist and I've some fakes that look almost nearly identical to the real ones with the corner sticker being the only give away and what usually happens is if something is produced in usually any Asian country, they sometimes share factories, and what happens is some factories actually print fakes to sell, but it's not illegal as long as they make some minor differences, kind of similar to you copying someones hw, but not exactly word for word. So I imagine either the same thing or at least something similar happens with some funko pop figures.
Or they just come from different factories ? Some factories use different paint or their paint job is just overal less compared to others. Some pops come from Vietnam and their paint job is mostly less compared to others. Also the quality may differ with every pop even when they are the same.

I don't really care if I have a fake Pop or 2 in my collection. As long as it looks the same as the real deal and I don't have all my Pops being fake, I'm fine.

The company has so many made from a factory, then factory has materials let's over and pumps X amount out but couple minor differences, but made in same factory cause materials/mold is the same. And they are getting slicker and slicker about it

Great Video Tristen.. You have to be careful when ordering these pops from less than credible dealers... For instance, on ebay I noticed several rare pops were being advertised, but if you look where they are shipping from most had China or Vietnam addresses which is a sure tip off they are fakes and knock ups... My wife is from the Philippines and I can't tell you how many fake pops are on the shelves over there in the stores.... Caveat Emptor is still the best advice I can give in my many years of pop collecting...
