As the summer fades away You'll lead me to the garden Passing the lovers Swooning in the autumn See yourself, your image in the eyes of someone else See yourself, your fears as they appear to someone else When the sun sets On dark silhouettes Collapse into dream As summer fades away Laugh at my reflection Passed to a lover Seeking your affection Though I know you won't be here for long
Love it!... isnt he just so adorable when he does that... I've been a fan for over a decade, been to several gigs and even as recent as last week in Camden he still does it 😊💚
@YourImaginaryEnd I think the whole Genre was about the sound and the music itself rather then the performance, much like taking a more melancholy and gothic aproach to what grunge bands did. Because it's all about the music, performance wasn't prioritised. I don't mind this at all though, it sounds good and that's why I listen to it.
i said the new album is a homage to joy division for quite a while, please im not the only one thinking it. good to see the band can evolve its music and still sound good.
I think their image worked a bit against them in a way. True, they gained all the covers and world attention also thanx to their perfect look. On the other side they needed to demonstrate to be no-fake. They ve never been in my opinion -even if their first gigs in europe were short with 4 songs (count in five demo version blew me away instantly) >>>
@TheMrHuzzah Oh ok. Yeah, i have logic on my macbook, so i use that + my usb keyboard as a synth. Go to dolphinmusic dot co dot uk and look up the horrors complete gear guide. It sounds to me like they use a microkorg, and ableton live on a laptop. Hope it helps!
@westcoastdoldrums A fellow connoisseur of audio minutiae I see. The phasing on the album is spinetingling, here it's inaudible. A 'word' at the mixing desk often yields rewards, try it. An outsider tasked with mixing will be ignorant of each track's nuances. Best neo-goth band ever!
everyone responds to music differently so comments about the crowd not dancing are kinda hypocritical.....maybe you're afraid they might not be enjoying it?? yeah i see where you're coming from but don't take this for granted so easily...I for one don't see myself dancing to this song and still that does not mean I can't fully enjoy it.........
>>> and they probably not ready- but many considered them a goth boy band. Later everybody saw how great this band was... but still i think without 'that' look they could become the big thing. Just guess so... Great bands doesnt even exist anymore... And it's a pity, in a way... in another, maybe, not.. //*_*!!
The crowd just sucks in this video... But I've already seen the Horrors live and fortunately the crowd was so much better! By the way, they're amazing in concerts! You need to see them live once! :)
How could they just stand there, nodding heads? I would've jumped up there and kept on hugging them for a few hours.............(this is actually nazrul islam's sister typing!!!!)
They sound nothing like Joy Division. Sure there are influences but there are much more striking features. People only pick joy division because It's their way of identifying with a band that they already know are both good, an influence and a way of demeaning anything contemporary.
Sounds like a mediocre song with the band desperately trying to recreate the indie/goth look of the late 80s with decent bands like Jesus & Mary chain, the Cure, Cocteau Twin etc However compared to all the banal R. n B shite out there now with ridiculous sounding names I guess it's better than nothing!
The best song they did in my opinion… still listening in 2024
one of their best 🎉
Absolutely awesome. Primary Colours is easilly one of the year's best. Took me by complete surprise...
this song has an incredible vibe
this song its unbelievably beautiful... so ethereal
This is something!Came back to it and sounds even more awesome in 2022!!!

@@RLXSH1 don’t we all lmfaoo
I love how they proved to everyone they weren't just a one hit wonder. I dig The Horrors.
i'd give everything to see them live
Perfect band
As the summer fades away
You'll lead me to the garden
Passing the lovers
Swooning in the autumn
See yourself, your image in the eyes of someone else
See yourself, your fears as they appear to someone else
When the sun sets
On dark silhouettes
Collapse into dream
As summer fades away
Laugh at my reflection
Passed to a lover
Seeking your affection
Though I know you won't be here for long
They're all so pretty
And oh my gosh this song is the most beautiful thing I've ever heard
Best rendition of this track 😘😘
This song is amazing
reminds me of joy division " love will tear us apart". :)
LOVE THEM SO MUCH x
i just love them!!
uma das melhores músicas de todos os tempos
Incredible performance, tame crowd. They were probably caught off guard by the new sound of the band! The album came out later that month I believe
Love it.
good song....tres belle...
I loveeeeeeeeeeeee when Rhys shimmys while he plays. When you look up the word "groovy" in the dictionary, Rhys' picture should be there.
Love it!... isnt he just so adorable when he does that... I've been a fan for over a decade, been to several gigs and even as recent as last week in Camden he still does it 😊💚

♥️♥️♥️
the guitar needs to be louder!!!!!!! i need to hear josh damnit!
I don't hear josh his guitar work ): godamn rhys your bassline is too strong! :'D
Anyone complaining about their static appearence obviously has no experiance with the live music of shoegaze or dreampop.
Josh taking a casual drink at 0:59
great guys X
I'd like to hug Faris.
It must be his fluffy hair :3
videos of this song don't do as much justice as hearing it live
Search "The Horrors - Three Decades live @ Field Day Festival" if you want to see a more energetic performance.
Que hermoso se escucha en vivo
What the fuck? Faris is an amazing vocalist.
The problem isn't with anyone in the band, it's just the fact that they all seem tired.
i miss the old horrors D:
not saying anything bad about this album thoiugh. i still like this one
quanto spaccavate allora e continuate tuttora..
oh yes you are right!
@mikol818 holy shit whenever i listen to this song and hear the chords come in,in the back of my mind i start thinking of love will tear us apart
faris looks wrecked!!!
@mikol818 great, that's how you forward in music!

yummmmmmmm
@TheMrHuzzah muchos welcome :)
@mikol818 Yeah man.. it's that bass riff.
@TheMrHuzzah I do not know for sure... Do you want to replicate it for a cover or something?
@atrilu It looks like a minimoog model D or minimoog voyager
@TheGhabo couldnt agree more
@TheMrHuzzah Also, can i hear some of that?
It sounds good :)
very well
@TheMrHuzzah Oh ok. Yeah, i have logic on my macbook, so i use that + my usb keyboard as a synth.

@IDigMyGraveTheSaga14....Modest Mouse was out well before the Strokes.
reminds me of she wants revenge
well said (y)
long live goth/ dark wave
Este otro tema es bueno...de todo el CD este es el que me gusta mas...
parecido a JoyDivision ...pero un toque mas fresco

thats what iv been thinking id be jumping up and down screeming my head off :L

i'd rather go to a Horrors for the GOOD VIBES , even though dark and ill willing XP
nice
@kingcroak well said ;)
dude i totally agree. they need to replace the singer. the album is very good tho.
@craccitijones on this album they sound nothing like the Strokes, and more like Joy Division/Human Tetris.
Faris' voice seems worn out :(
What kind of crowd was that?
2016
2022
@scvdrums ..:)
As much as they argue the point that Primary Colours is supposed to be a joyful album, they don't deliver the point very well when performing live.
@qoakzm2qoakzm Yeah!!! Let them know!!!!
Alex Turner with deppresion.
@TheMrHuzzah And yeah, not com but co.
@307235620 haha si, de por si los Europeos se caracterizan por su vibra jaja
How could they just stand there, nodding heads?

bullshit, Modest Mouse had shit out way before the Strokes were ever heard of...
oh dang the whole song is ruined now
woo faris soundin a bit flat
It's in Amsterdam, they're probably not dancing because they're high as fuck. The last thing I wanna do when I'm high is dance
actually thats what i did do :L at underage festival haha :)
Its so indie.
weirdos.
blah! He makes me vom. but faris sing lovely.
