It sucks that you're having issues, I've never had a single issue with EMG but its refreshing to hear that their customer service is good. If I lived closer I'd gladly offer my limited experience and electronics toolkit to try to get you up and running.
EMG are really on the ball. They want to send me a new set but it would take forever as they are based in USA. Before that happens, they've sent me a list of things to check. 😀
Sourcing parts now my project is the viola bass fretless . I've never done any thing on TH-cam but will try with my build . In the meantime I'll keep watching yours. I've seen bad electronics right out of the box. Good luck
If you have a multimeter that measures impedance, you could check the isolated pickups to see if they give you characteristic values ( EMG should have pup specs on line or with kit instructions). Also, any break in conductance amongst the connecting wires could result in no signal. Again, a multimeter might provide some information regarding this possibility. Another though: you have a bum (American for "faulty") input jack. Positive tip should touch metal leaf tab. Has the cord you used worked successfully in the past? Did you make your obligatory offering to the Great Space Turkey, Nigel?
You must have been gutted, a temporary set back hopefully, the victory will be all the sweeter. Odd that there's not a peep, not even static or buzzing, sounds like EMG are on the ball though.

Cheers for the offer Charlie. It'll work out soon.
If that’s your big issue you aren’t doing so bad. Can’t wait to hear it!
Good to hear they are on the case. It can't be anything major. Best of luck

It would be great to see what you make, Paul. As well as all the separate episodes I also made a vid of the complete build. Good luck! 😀
Minor technical difficulties, we will return to your regularly scheduled broadcast momentarily.
Did they say plug and play or plug and pray?? Good to hear that EMG are on the case, we need to hear this thing!!
They responded really quick, so let's wait and see!
That's a shame but I don't mind when I hear _ Valley Girl_ - never get tired of that bass line - can wait indefinitely. _>^
....and there is no cure 😂

Nigel is an absentee landlord! 😂 EMG have been great. They've sent me a list of ideas to try. 😀
Hope she will roar soon...

I'm very impressed by their response and speed. They've sent me a list of things to try.
