The Bible states that nobody but God knows when this will occur. The work of the Christians is to be ready, faithful in doing good works and witnessing that all who believe will be saved.

It appears that Enoch probably will die though as he will most likely be one of the two witnesses along with Elijah.

Why does Paul write in 2nd Thessalonians that the Man of Lawlessness must be revealed first BEFORE the rapture will take place???

    • @djb1164
      @djb1164 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

2 Thes 2:7For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work, but the one who now restrains it will continue until he is taken out of the way. 8And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will slay with the breath of His mouth and annihilate by the majesty of His arrival. ---Tbe One who now restrains is the Holy Spirit indwelling the Church. In verse 2 and 3 Paul says the Day of the Lord will not come until the man of lawlessness is revealed. The Day of the Lord is the Tribulation. The rapture is first, when the Indwelling Holy Spirit shifts His role in the world by removing the Spirit-filled Church from the earth. Then the Tribulation starts after all the evil that the church is now restraining is then given free rein on earth.

We often combine the "Resurection" and the "Rapture", knowing that those already dead will rise with those that are raptured. But here I show the following:
    Rev 20:4-5a (NIV)
_ I saw thrones on which were seated those who had been given authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony about Jesus and because of the word of God. They[a] had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years. 5 (The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended.) This is the first resurrection. 6 Blessed and holy are those who share in the first resurrection.
    _
So this rapture and this resurection need to be reconciled (I have always thought they were the same), but since it clearly states the "first", I would rightly expect at least a "second", correct? In fact, it is given in the parenthesis.
So to me, I am still unable to reconcile the 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 "and the dead in Christ will rise first", which I read happens before the 1000 years, with this "came to life" in Rev20, along with the "dead .. come to life ... ended". So I see these first 2 as being only believers (as of today). Which I have heard others also state.
The other thing I am a bit unclear of is that it seems the 1000 years will primarily involve the Jews and their decendants (those not in resurected bodies?) which eventually many are deceived... etc... Anyone have thoughts on those from the Rapture and the 1000 years (I had always thought that they would be there w/ Christ as well)?

These are admittedly difficult passages to completely harmonize at times . But I don't necessarily think they are contradictory, or describing completely different events .
      1) As Joe explained in video, already there were types / foreshadowings of the Rapture in Enoch , Elijah, and Jesus himself . 2) And regarding which or what is first resurrection , or are rapture and resurrection same or different events : a) Lazarus temporary resurrection, b) Matt. 27 : 51 - 53 describes a strange event , where after Jesus resurrection , " ...the bodies of of many holy people who had died were raised to life . They came out of the tombs ....and went into the holy city and appeared to many people ."
From above passages , it might seem to be suggesting more than one resurrection . Or even suggest a totally mixed up and contradictory picture , of the timing etc . But ultimately, I think they're just types / foreshadowings , of what is to come . Ie. The Main Event . Also , remember unlike in those temporary resurrections , the final resurrection involves no further possibility of death , for the believer .
Regarding the issue of millennial kingdom . I always thought yes, it predominantly involves saved Jews and their descendants , in the literal land of Israel . But both book of Rev 21 / 22 and Jesus in Matt 24 /. 25 , seem to describe survivors from all nations , walking by its light and bringing their gifts into it. In fact , Zechariah 14 : 16 - 19 describes a judgment of no rain for the nations who refuse to go up to Jerusalem, to celebrate the Festival of Tabernacles , at that time . Plus, many scholars interpret Jesus parables about the talents , as meaning those who put it to good use , will literally be rewarded with ruling over many cities , in the millennial kingdom. I could be wrong , but I assume that refers to both Jews and Gentiles alike ?! And in both Israel and the Gentile nations .
One final note : Rev 20 : 7 - 10 depicts Satan leading one final rebellion , after the 1000 year are over . While it is clear that descendants of the tribulation survivors from all nations , are once again led into rebellion ... It doesn't seem as clear to me , that descendants of Jewish Israeli survivors are ... But given human nature , I would infer that at least some of them would also be led astray ?!

Great questions. And I have more questions.
"As in the days of Noah" - the wicked were taken (in the flood) and Noah's clan inherited the earth. "The righteous will inherit the earth" ... was Noah's ark (his place of protection) a type/shadow of our place of protection in Christ, who is our "ark"... in the midst of a wicked and perverse generation? In this case, the wicked were taken and the righteous inherited the earth.
"But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,
And knew not until the flood came, and TOOK THEM ALL AWAY; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be." Matthew 24:37-39
There are also many references in the Old Testament to the wicked being taken and the righteous inheriting the earth.... any thoughts on this?
And if this is true, then what about 1 Thess 4:17? It seems that there was a custom that when a bridegroom came to his bride's village, there would be a welcoming party who would travel out a little distance to meet him, and then escort him back to the village for the wedding. The point being that he did not take the welcoming party back to where he'd begun his journey, but would continue on without returning....

Heresy. Pure evil conjecture that will dissolution people when it does not happen in the tribulation. "Because of the increase in wickedness the love of most will grow cold." Matthew.
