No cause fr, i'd be following a tutorial for a crochet project and i start making my own alternation inbetween and if somebody asks "hey, can you make that again for me?" lmao no, i can't, i have no clue what i did, i've been working on this for 3 months for 1 hour at a time at the middle of the night, there are a lot of scuffed parts and im surprised i finished it to begin with. At least all my friends get very... distinct gifts 💀 I also agree about the thing you said on how crocheting for others isnt it, I personally tend to make something because i want to make it, and then end up gifting it to a fiting person, because i can only have so many plushies
I also don't like buying my yarn online so when my yarn finishes before I complete my project I have to wait until I go and buy more and I am so impatient lol. I just want to finish that project and start something else immediately! So finishing my yarn is annoying to me but I agree with most of your opinions.
Lol I’m the same way. It’s annoying to have to get more yarn, but man is it satisfying watching that yarn get used up, even if it’s only for a moment lol
Hey, I’m glad you’re feeling better now. I agree with you about acrylic. It hurts my hands 😒 however it’s affordable and meets the needs of many. Plan a day to go the city… have a solo date (or invite someone) and then go to the local yarn store the same day. I’m a beginner and I freehand!! go rogue all the time. the few patterns I tried made sense until they didn’t anymore. Also crochet is very forgiving than knitting when it comes to shaping, fixing, numbers. Freestyling has taught me some lessons and helped with creativity.
I agree, acrylic really feels like a double edged sword. And I like your idea of a solo date day to the yarn store. That is actually a good way to look at it, it changes my mindset on going a bit lol. Imma try that
i dont like center pull either, once you reach the end its gets floppy and soggy and looks ugly asf. But if it werent for that yarnussy i get towards the end id be fine with center out lmao
