    Thank you so much for the tutorial. I bought several babies and haven't started 😂 the hair was challenging and what's funny about that is I was a preschool teacher for 15 years and we used Elmer glue for pretty much everything. Why it never crossed my mind to do what you did is beyond me. Lol

    So once your done do you spray the doll with some kind of clear coat so the paint doesn't come off if it gets wet etc

      I didn't, but with most of my projects I do usually spray them with Rust-Oleum clear matte!

      Thank you!! 💕I had so much fun making him, and the ghosts (if you haven't seen that video). Unfortunately, Dollar Tree stopped selling these dolls. They were perfect for these projects. I just haven't ventured out to locate other options. Though I did use their small barbie dolls to do Hocus Pocus! Another video you might like! 💕

    Cute project! My question to you is, why didn't you just hot glue tuffs of "hair" in sections rather than doing a line of slow drying regular glue? You ended up gluing the lines of hair to the head anyway. It would have eliminated one step and speeded up the process for you. I glue mohair in tuffs and strips to masks and props with either hot glue or acrylic caulk (depending on the materials being used). Like I said, I think this is such a cute project. :)

      Thank you! I personally just feel like it gives me more control over the hair placement and gives me reassurance that I didn't miss any spot where the hair could end up falling out. Just personal preference.

    Would double size tape work for the hair instead of the elmers?

    • @TheOtherCrazyDogLady
      @TheOtherCrazyDogLady 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Double sided not size

    • @KraftingWithKandace
      @KraftingWithKandace  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think it would work temporarily, but I don't think it would be a good permanent option. With how much work you put into it, I would recommend Elmer's glue or mod podge!

    Where did you find the dolls?

    • @KraftingWithKandace
      @KraftingWithKandace  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      These dolls came from Dollar Tree. Unfortunately, they stopped selling the hard bodied dolls at most of the stores. It can be done with other dolls, but I loved the size of these. Perfect for a shelf or tiered tray. 😔

      Thank you. I have been to all my Dollar Trees and had no luck. I was bummed. Thank you for letting me know. Now I can stop looking for those specific ones

      I found it at the Dollar Tree! They are much smaller than you would expect, but work great for shelf sitters!

    My dolls that I’m painting with spray paint are coming out sticky. Is there a way to fix this? Thanks

    • @KraftingWithKandace
      @KraftingWithKandace  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh no! Usually, if this happens to me, it's because it is too hot when I'm spraying them! I use and old piece of wood or cardboard to spray them outside, then bring them in the house to dry properly in room by themselves with the windows open for ventilation! Hopefully that helps!

      I'm sorry you don't like the set up to my videos! It seems my channel may not be a great fit for you, as I have to do these types of voiceovers to work around being a mom. 🥰 These videos (though show 18mins on screen) take me many, many hours of creating and editing. I love to create, learn as I go and share with others! So I appreciate you giving me a chance. I wish you well on your endeavors. ♥️
