The optimum current to speed up EU07 is 400A (just the middle of the ammeter scale) It applies to 0--->28--->28+6 0--->28--->43--->43+6 positions. Positions from 1 to 27, and from 29 to 42 use them no longer than u need to prevent overheating resistors 🙂 Source: Polish train simmer for 19 years 🙂
@@BOTG_Adventures on 28 or 43, these are non resistant positions :) On other positions there are resistors in the circuit which are transforming a lot of energy to heat. Not the heat is the reason, why these are used, but it is heating, so we need to use non resistant positions, when we can. (See the orange light on the middle of the short, bottom lamp row, if it is lighting, you are on a resistant position) And you can use shunt on these non resistant positions also.
The sim is already epic. Running the full length of the map we have so far with the express train takes over 2 hours and it's an awesome journey. The map is beautifully designed and night time is stunning. You encounter all sorts of scenarios as you make progress and you can chat to other players along the way. Then there's dispatcher on top of all that. Fantastic experience. Thank you for the guide, I learnt a few more things. 👍
These names like EC, TLK etc. are names of companies or just names for passengers. EC - EuroCity TLK - Tanie Linie Kolejowe (Cheap Railway Lines) express passenger train REG - Polregio passenger train These are categories that are used officially in timetables. LTE - only locomotive TCE - intermodal train TME - heavy cargo train TLE - cargo train Basically it depends of the weight, type of cargo and route to get specific category which doesn't really matter that much in the game.
I can only add that last one letter defines type of traction: E means electric, S means diesel (in polish "spalinowa"), J means EMU, M means DMU and finally P means steam (in polish "parowa")
They're gonna have some big shoes to fill from the looks of it, too. I'm glad there's no more monopoly for DTG, hopefully that means they'll step their game up.
On EU-07 There are two „non-resistor” positions on the power wheel regulator: 28 and 43. So when you reach 28 you might then use shunt regulator and apply positions from 1 to 6. It will be adding more speed to your loco. Then, if you are on max shunt position and you are no longer accelerating, you should lower the shunt to 0 and progress with the next notches on main power wheel until 43, where you can again add shunt positions. So this is how the progression should look like. Generally, as you said, you should always try to reach „non-resistor” positions and stay at them while driving. It is most efficient way of powering this loco, because otherwise all the current is flowing through resistors that needs to be cool down by large fans that you can hear in the back. I hope this help a bit in understending that loco mechanics :)
@@BOTG_Adventures You acc to 20mph and then set the regulator to 0. The weight and inertia will let the train roll. After speed decrese you can oscilate between first few notches and 0 to maintain speed.
Actually EC stands for EuroCity (it's basically an international Intercity train), Pendolino is EIP and max speed of them is 200 km/h (they are designed for 250 km/h but there aren't any lines that allow that speed)
I was fortunate enough to get a spot on the play test. There is quite a learning curve to this one, Polish trains are not in my toolbox of expertise. I'm really looking forward to this one though!
Thanks for doing a video on how to operate this unit I can never work things out just reading things ! I have been driving the ELF most of the time as I understand it thanks to hours playing the prologue before. Artful
I think the DSD seems random because the locomotive doesn't have just a DSD. It also has an SHP (Samoczynne hamowanie pociągu). SHP is very similar to the British AWS system. It activates as you pass the magnet for an upcoming yellow or red light.
Thanks SP. Appreciate all the work you put into making these type of vids. I can feel the enthusiasm you have for this new sim. I'm unsure yet about buying in, still in wait-and-see mode. DTG shenanigans may have unduly poisoned my train sim spirit for a bit (lol). Trying to keep an open mind, though.
Thx KJ, Its one helluva start from these guys although only Polish for now but its looking very promising nonetheless. You try to get it on the playtest? Button on their steam page, they keep adding more and more ppl
That speed meter looks very similar to the speed meter used on old locomotives in the swedish railway. The swedish meters will give off a clicking sound because they are logging the current speed to paper strip. So all the time when you are moving you are going this clicking.
Very nice, I would really like to get this game but I will have to wait for like more content coming quickly and a lot of updates or something like that. My dad has spent about ~100$ on TSW3 and I want to make sure that I don’t just waste it. But fantastic game:)
Great video thank you. As a beginner this looks great tired of Dovetail £££ greed. Please do more beginner tutorials on game and other trains. will buy today. IS there any cargo to drop off? or just drive around and do nothing?

this is such an amazing game already! dovetail has some great competition now.
Especially whole game will be released as a base and no DLC.
They're gonna have some big shoes to fill from the looks of it, too. I'm glad there's no more monopoly for DTG, hopefully that means they'll step their game up.
@@PowerTrain611 My only gripe is that they *really* need to optimize the game.
Maybe Dovetail will now lower it's high prices.

Wow, it's like soviet locomotives.
@@megalifts Its kind of true, but to be precise, Polish EU-07 was build based on Brithsh Class 83 locomotive.
so what if it is 20 mph for a long time? what setting do i sue then?

Awesome Gameplay and Keep Up The Spectacular Work With The Videos
Looks like a great sim, leaves TSW standing. I spend a lot of time on Run 8 and TSC, looks like I will be buying this as well now!

Poland has built a lot with licenses. So I think it will be the ones from Sweden

I did a live stream tonight. Is there a manual in English by any chance? I tried the link above.
Never mind I found it further below. Thanks for sharing this.
EU07 is literally a little rebuild engine of another engine witch is the some sort of Polish version of british rails class 83 SOMEHOW
Awesome as usual going to have to get this👍😀
Great video mate. Really informative. Thats a bit like the UK class 86/87. Not sure if you have driven that in TS Classic
Oh most certainly. Back when i had more drive space and all the uk content installed.
I think this loco is a direct brother ftmp of the EE class 83
what do the when the red light near the circuit green light is open(left side) the one with the excess vent
That was a excellent tutorial thanks for sharing that has helped me greatley
6:15 EC stands for EuroCity category ;-) Pendolino would be "EIP" or "EIJ"
Do you know how to start the EUO7? When I put it to fill the breaks didn't release
Crazy we landed in the same game together. haha! Its a great game overall.

Do you think it will have any American stuff in the future?
Do you know if this will support the RailDriver?
Can you use a joystick?
You should check Train Driver 2. There is an another multiplayer train sim and its working now.
Ive always wanted to but it seems way over my head 😃
This is polisz game 💪💪💪🇵🇱
To niezłe polisz XDD
Consolas? Price ?
It will come to consoles sometime in 2023
Price will be about 30 EUR
Good video but i think TSW3 is better because routes and locomotives are more and the graphics and weather system are overtaking this game
TSW3 is awesome but those dlc prices are outrageous.
