In this video, two snails are enjoying a piece of cucumber together while I clean their terrarium.
They don't have names yet.

Awe,..these cuties are so much fun to feed. There's so much going on in their tiny heads. You can just see them thinking.
Ironically enough, they literally have two braincells that they use to decide stuff, not even a brain to my knowledge, just a membrane with two neurons

Giany Snails have enough intelligence to know if they like which bit of food given to them. That's as much as a rabbit.
Still baffles me how these creatures exist.
How come?
They have roughly the same internal organs as humans (brain, kidneys, lungs, intestines, genitalia). They just never bothered to develop limbs or a skeleton because the carapace protects them and the eyestalks help them look in different directions. :)
They're like delightfully weird little aliens!

My 4-year old daughter and I have murdered 200+ snails in the past week at the playground across the street. They are invasive garden grove snails. She loves the crunch when she steps on them. 👣🐌❌

I stepped on a snail once and it was very gross, but good for you.
(Before any of you answer, there's a difference between a few snails and hundreds of snails in the same place, especially with the giant African snails that can transmit diseases by touching them)
@@Jothsal Yes, we've culled the population down to more reasonable levels. Crunched about 500+ over the last month. It appears, as an invasive species, they have no natural predators here. Flies and ants enjoy their smeared guts, though.
