❗Note* I am a comedy reaction channel by trade and only understand music in it's most basic sense, If your looking for someone who will have a deep understanding of the lyrics, terminology and overall sense of the track you will be disappointed. I'll do my best to learn from all of you in the comments but I didn't grow up listening to any music so this is all new territory for me. I love to hear about the history of your favorite artists as well as any songs or video's you think I should watch to increase my understanding.
⚠Final Note* Expect a lot of pausing, I primarily focus on the visuals in a track, the music itself is not a top priority if that bugs you this is not the channel for you.

Night Fever was filmed in the then shabby Miami in December 1977 and not in Las Vegas as one might expect, the video was hastily reshot before Barry's full beard grew back. The song was then like Stayin Alive a huge hit 2 months No. 1 alone in US Billboard but also climbed the top position in 23 other countries and was then also the No. 1 song worldwide at the end of 1978

Do you know of a better version, cause the music drowning out Barry's voice really bugged me.

    (C) The making of the video "This is Where I Came in" from their last cd in 2001

I agree with this list but would add I Started a Joke from 1967. One of their earlier hits, Robin sings the lead on that one. It was recently played on an episode of Netflix's Baby Reindeer.
Also for Nights on Broadway, even though they do an amazing live version on the Midnight Special, I recommend the studio version. It's a perfect song to hear Barry's lower range and falsetto in the same song.

@@joymarie68 great thanks for the advice and extra info this is a whole new genre for me, ive been primarily reacting to nerdcore which is on the complete opposite end lol. I was actually requested in one of those videos to check out the beegees so that was interesting.

This one is one of my favorites! I also find it hard to understand the lyrics when Barry sings in the high falsetto voice. So I always look at the lyrics for a new song. Then I can hear the words. Enjoyed your reaction - this is the Las Vegas I remember pretty much from my own 1984 visit.

They all have wide vocal ranges, especially Robin and Barry. Robin is known in the industry for his vibrato (tho they all had a lot of vocal movement ability), and Barry for his standout falsetto (tho Rob and Mo could hit some high notes, they were limited in actually singing in falsetto), and Maurice focused more heavily on instruments and was a master at instantly arranging whatever Barry and Robin wrote, allowing them to write spontaneously in the studio. To hear each vocal more individually, I would recommend Robin’s signature I STARTED A JOKE LIVE 1989, for Barry non-falsetto TO LOVE SOMEBODY 1967, and WALKING ON AIR for Maurice, and definitely their concert highlight MEDLEY LIVE 1989 which is a medley of hits and you get to hear them speak and laugh, as well as sing only accompanied by a guitar with a heavy emphasis on harmonies.

Please do other songs recorded by other artists that The Bee Gees wrote. Some include:
If I Can't Have You (Yvonne Elliman) -- went to #1
Woman in Love ( Barbra Streisand)- went to #1!. In fact, The Bee Gees wrote every song on her Guilty CD, and Barry did 2 duets with her. And he did most of the background vocals on a lot of the songs. They won a Grammy for best song by a group or duo for Guilty.
Islands in the Stream (Kenny Rogers & Dolly Partons) - went to #1. In fact, The Bee Gees wrote all the songs on Kenny's "Eyes that See in the Dark" CD with Barry doing a lot of background vocals.
Heartbreaker (Deion Warwick). In fact, The Bee Gees wrote every song on this CD too. This was her best selling CD! The Bee Gees also did the Background vocals.
Chain Reaction (Diana Ross) - went to #1 in several
European countries! And yes, The Bee Gees wrote all the songs on this CD too. Barry also did the background vocals.
Immortality (Celine Dion) The Bee Gees (went to number 1 in several countries),also sung background. The live 1997 from Vegas is excellent!
    More Than a Woman (Tavares)
    Love Me (Yvonne Elliman)
Come on Over (Olivia Newton John)
Emotions (Samantha Sang, with a lot of background vocals with Barry). Destiny's Child also recorded it.
Grease--from the movie (Frankie Valli), went #1
Heart Beating in Time (Leo Sayer)
Let me wake up in your arms (Lulu), who use to be married to Maurice Gibb
A lot of Andy Gibb songs (Shadow Dancing, Everlasting Love, Love is Thicker than Water, Our Love, Don't Throw It Away; Desire;). Andy's 3 released solo songs all went to #1!

Barry wasn't show off , his great falsetto had made him a tough journey to learn (to practice) to achieve to such amazing level .....all works that would be good to the whole band 's future amazing era ... adore Barry.. just my own thoughts.....

HD for music is the 1970's is pretty good sounding.
Nothing digital , computer cut , split , fake sound effects here .
Everything is pure analogue which if done properly still sounds good today .
BTW, the video isn't an effect it was how "video" was back then bad resolution , low sharpness etc.
It's the tech. they had in the day but it's the sound of the music that counts.
    Have a good one .

The effect I was referring to was how they were layering thier faces over the scene not to resolution of the camera from the 1970s
