I think it is his Headset mic. He had a podcast mic as well, but was annoyed by positioning it and by having to set it up every time, since he doesn't use it outside of the tricast.
i cannot listen to doublelift over emphasizing random "T's" at the end of select words, and going "uhhhh" in between half his explanations to try and make his thoughts sound more well thought out. sneaky and meteos are awesome though lol
Funny thing about the current meta is that since its heavy on tris and kaisa that no one even considers akali, talon, or your go to assassin mid laners counter them. After all, if the mid is an adc then its much easier to kill em as there isnt much cc to worry about. Yeah there is the enemy jungle who can cover him but that jungler cant be with the mid player all the time.
I think that because assassins are really bad against coordinated teams. If you know where they are, they cannot really surprise and solo kill someone. They usually do not excel at teamfighting, which is important in pro play. So you would pick the assassin for the lane only, which is very risky. Especially since the opponent should be good enough to not just die vs an assassin. Assassin's overall are good in chaotic games with little to no vision, which, in theory, should not happen in pro play. If it actually is the case in the game is another thing, but you should always pick the best champ overall and not for the chance of the enemy making mistakes

i know you specified (at least on LCS) but you should watch worlds finals 2022 drx vs t1. i dont really remember everything clearly but i specifically remember watching live and knowing that t1 would lose game 5 the moment drx picked aatrox because of how well it was doing in the previous games
52:30 the discussion around the Kaisa build and ultimately finishing with you build whatever the Korean overlords build made me wonder if there will ever be a time where players like Uzi or Chovy or Faker or Deft look towards a player from the west and say damn, I should do that? Will the east ever harbor the same feeling of inferiority towards the west as we do to them? I guess that's something only time will tell but it'd be pretty cool one day to be able to say "Yeah Sneaky did this so it has to be the best option", for example.
I can't take that discussion seriously when Deft is the guy who built IE with 40% crit when it required 60% lol, these players despite being the best just don't think about their builds I bet their thought process is the same as doublelift, they see someone do it and win and they copy it

@Weirdbrit there's no reason for it to sound that bad. he just has the volume maxed in windows and it's making it clip. all he has to do is turn that down 20-30% and it'd be fine.
Pretty crazy to defend huhi when he very obviously intentionally abused the bug lol. No way do you time it that specifically without doing it deliberately.
