This looks absolutely amazing! I'd love to get my hands on this, Sentinel is such an awesome company, I have their War Machine figure from the RE:EDIT series and I absolutely love it, to be honest however...I might skip on Mega Man himself- if they come out with Proto Man, then my money's going!
Love that this is a lot better priced and cuter than the D-arts version will certainly pick this up to finally have a Megaman figure in my collection!

I recently got this figure, and I'm putting this out, it may be my new favorite Mega Man figure. What he lacks in accessories he gains in his game accurate looks and articulation.
Definately getting my hands on this one.
Can't wait to see X, Zero, but most importantly, PROTOMAN!

Thing that should be known I think: Sentinel were actually the designers behind the Truforce Mega Man X. Basically Bluefin partnered with Sentinel to make Truforce, but obviously, things haven't worked out for that, so it seems Sentinel scooped up the Mega Man license on their own so they can keep doing stuff with it.
the best part of Sentinel releasing robot masters is that they started with my favorite one.
They could use that body/buck to make a pretty sweet Astro Boy.
This is one of my favorite megaman figure

Most of them are currently in a tote. Would have been tough to find and dig them all out. Sorry! One day I'll get my collection properly sorted.
You can bend the base's arm backwards, then forward (in a zigzag) to get him standing on the base.

Sentinel Rockman faceshape is indeed spot-on based on a cartoony character picture. Articulation is indeed complex but gives more great poses Great job reviewing this figure. One day Sentinel Blues hope comes out in the future. :D.
I feel that a Megaman Zero would look great with those articulation lines in the chest area since it would be covered by Zero's chest armor. The chest armor does not cover the shoulder blades which allows Zero to still move his arms with ease.
Wow, all I can say is this one is much better than the D-Arts figure. Definitely a pick up for me.

Question of the day: Are you planning to pick this figure up, or are you burnt out on too many companies making Mega Man over and over?
im not a huge fan of the games as i didnt play them as a kid but i do love the world and lore of mega man so would love a mega man figurine to display. there are a lot to choose from and i dont know which is best ha ha
I got this and the Megaman.EXE and plenty of their variants because they all look so well made, and I'm a huge Mega Man fanatic, but I do tire of companies making the same characters over and over, That's what made the .EXE so appealing, Battle Network hasn't been done countless times.
I'd be set if I could at least get Star Force Mega Man and Mega Man Volnutt from these guys(Gotta have that final smash!!) , then they could make however many robot masters they'd like, I'd still support, I'd ask for the ZX characters but that's probably too much.
I am more a fan of Beyblade Bakugan and Yu-gi-oh! So im really happy about all the revoltechs and figmas they are making from yugioh characters. I do hope they make a Bass though....

To be honest, I haven't bought a Mega Man figure in years because I got sick of being played with when it came to companies committing to the Robot Masters. I was really excited for Jazwares' Retro Roto vinyl line because they showed off that they were going to have like 14 Robot Masters coming out but they canned the line after one wave. I wanted to get into the D-Arts line, but with all of the qaulity control issues I was glad I didn't because they never saw the Robot Masters or Mavericks either.
Your review was great, but I'm going to wait to see if they are actually going to commit to more than just Cut Man. I also hope they start including more accessories though like pew pew pellets and other effects.

Trying to make a Smash Bros display. I have the Kotobukiya Mega Man model kit from years ago, but i'm not sure it will be in scale with the figmas and sh figuarts i'm planning to use. This could be just what I need.

I'm impressed with this little guy too. The only problem I have is getting the head to totally turn right or left so he's looking straight to either side. With the neck articulation, it wants to tilt his head down. I'd really like to have that Super Mega Man & Cut Man set, but wow the price. That's about $65 for each while this one was only $40 by itself. Yikes
Yeah, I'm not sure why that set is so much more expensive....or why it has to be a 2-pack.

Yeah, kinda odd. Lets just hope future releases won't be so expensive or limited. Also I got the Rockman.EXE 4InchNEL and I have issues with the torso coming apart easily and the knees are really loose. Didn't know if you got one of those too, but that's an issue I have.
...is the D-arts figure discoloured at the chest? He looks a little green there.

I like how the red pieces on the D arts are actually gems, but the d arts legs are so fragile. I'd rather have this figure than the d arts. However the d arts comes with better accessories.
This one definitely could have benefited from some cool accessories and pack-ins.

This figure looks amazing, but it looks like it has the same problem pretty much all the other Mega Man figures have; the hyper articulation... Display pieces are cool but it kinda makes playability take a hit.
I just got one of these myself, and agree that the articulation detracts from the sculpt. Poseablility is amazing though, and the figure holds the poses really well.
I think the D-Arts version is superior to this one; D-Arts has the transparent/jewel highlights, Rush, a met, blast effects, and the articulation isn't as obtrusive, but it's still quite poseable. Too bad the D-Arts version is out-of-print at the moment. I also like the flat paint on this new figure, and the overall sculpt and propotions, but D-Arts is still the winner for me.

The Timesmyth I agree, the D-Arts version is better. He's a robot, so I prefer the shiny finish. The price was a lot more reasonable too. The Cutman two-pack is just ridiculously expensive.
Dan, on my figure, the eyes are not as white as I'd expect... I see sort of a greyish tone... is it the same in your figure?
I get what you mean but I kinda hate it when everyone complains about the articulation lines,it's a highly articulated figure dude,it's gonna have some lines ok it's not a statue. I enjoy your videos but god damn everyone complains to much about "articulation lines ruining the sculpt"

Yeah but you can have solid articulated action figures without having tons of issues. Every other action figure line has proven that 10 x over.
Yeah those cuts for the articulation don't really matter. I mean he's a robot anyway.

awesome looking figure. i just think they overdid the articulation just a tad. i'm looking at the sculpt and it kinda bugs me a little. but that's just my opinion. i think it would be nice if they added more accessories and hopefully they add more characters to the lineup like some of the other robots from the different games. i personally wouldn't mind a mega man x figure.
Well you're in luck, because Sentinel announced an X figure. With the extra armor, maybe they can cover up some of those pesky articulation sculpt breaks

pixel dan i just got this figure today and everything was good until i found the left foot is not as articulable as the right one. my figure can move its right foot up and down but not to the sides, but the left one can move left and right but not up and down that much. do you know if it was intended this way?

I think it depends more on one's preference, but apart from that - it's more compact, so I guess that could be the only reason it's better than d-arts one

Oh Dan. Your complaint about the broken sculpt are void. It's because of people like you (and the corporate $ mentality) that I have Stormtroopers that can't hold their blasters properly. grrrrr

The D arts figure is pure trash. The paint started to chip and it ruined my figure. Worst figure to be released.

Apparently, my 9 year old son commented, lol. But I can tell you why he did. He really wanted one of these so I got it for his bday the beginning of this year. Let me first say that if you are getting them as a collector, which from what I've seen is the norm for these things, it probably won't "suck" as he said...lol If they are posed and on a shelf and not used for play, they will probably suit your purpose. My son is not hard on his toys, let me just say. But normal play and rearranging the pose frequently, quickly causes the joints, specifically the legs to loosen up. After about 2-3 weeks of him having it, the leg was so loose that it wouldn't stay on. I've explained to him that they are geared more toward collectors, but you can't find figures in this character that are truly for play. It's disappointing considering the price of these things.

I think that is the norm for these figures. Collector's figures. He loved the figure, just very disappointed in how quick it loosened up. The articulation was neat. I just wish they would make a line of mega men that are actually for play and will hold up to being constantly re positioned. Like I said, for collectors that are going to pose them and shelve them, they are a nice little figure. Just not for frequent "play".

My biggest complaint with Mega Man figures has also been we never get robot masters. I would love to one day get a Skull Man or Flame Man. It shows promise that they have shown a Cut Man so maybe we will finally get some robot masters with this line.
I'm in that same boat! Every Mega Man line is always a bunch of versions of Mega Man and "X," and maybe Zero, Protoman, and Bass. But we never get proper Robot Masters, and they are the best designs in those games! They would make amazing toys! My fingers are crossed Sentinel is finally the company to do it right!
they made cut-man (my personal favorite) but they limited him to a two pack (and its severely overpriced).
