I'd love to see a console manufacturer officially adopt a Homebrew mode, they'd be like "h4x0rs wtf r u doing? You don't need to hack our console, we got an official homebrew mode!" Though I think the biggest obstacle to that is emulators with anti-commercial, pirates only licences. I think the sooner we move away from emulators that won't, for example, allow Capcom or Sega to use those emulators to sell *their own games,* the better. Maybe when that happens emulators will lose their bad reputation.
WHAT?!?!?!??!?!?!??!? *why didn't anyone tell me?!* (No seriously, Why cant Nintendo tell us that?! Like how the Option to turn off the HDD spin down is hidden)
@@TheGlitchyMario I forgot about this comment lol. Apparently the Wii U has a hidden option to disable The sleep/spindown on the USB Hard drive. Since apparently it causes issues, its always best to turn that option off. (The Wii U makes a lot of read/writes to the Hard Drive, and i think the issue was it would spin down, and when it needed to load something, it would crash.) Yea this console hates HDDs
Why do they care about piracy so much? Piracy is nothing more than a minor nuisance. They still make plenty of money. The net effect of piracy is very small. Piracy can actually increase sales.
eh old comment but still because most consoles like this are sold at a loss and that loss is made up for by software sales the idea isnt to prevent it out right but make it hard enough most people wont
@@Elios0000 Stll the point prevails, The net effect is very small, most of the time pirates would not buy a game anyway. Some consoles are launch at lost but not Nintendos, they sell even or at profit in the revisions . The WII U never was cheap not even at the end of life and the Switch BOM is little below is retail price. The only exception was the first model of 3DS that suffer a massive discount 5 months after lauch; pissing off retailers and early adopters

The main reason so many companies spend millions on DRM is because early sales make the majority of money
@@novelnouvel No... profit is in games. You can google manufacturing prices.
