im a newbie in breeding crayfish ARC.
my first fem eggs was green but it
    sadly all the eggs dropped.
the second fem had an eggs
and hatched more than a hundred
but unfortunately all craylings died the next day.
    the third fem
    hatched 30 pcs
i put them on a small aquarium
    but after 3 days
there were only 2 survivor craylings left the otjers were gone
maybe they ate each other in the tank. now 4th fem is starting laying eggs. hopefully more craylings will survive this time. hope i can get some tip from a more experiened breeder

Any redclaws above 20-30 grams are mature, so they can breed when they reach that weight and over

Do you put one male and one female together in a separate tank for breeding?

    • @Mr.NegativeHero
      @Mr.NegativeHero ปีที่แล้ว +1

If you want to start breeding, have 1 male and around 5+ females in one small tank ( 1m × 1m tank ) and with 10 cm deep water. Make sure they are old enough to breed

Thank you for posting this, can baby crays survive the winter outside (coldest -5 C) or better bring everything inside? When outside do I feed it normally during the winter? They look exactly like shown on the vid. I have 26 babies - which stayed in my fishing net after catching and letting free the cray mother in rice fields. Cheers from Japan

Red claw cant survive temps below zero i think and also heat above 36.c

    • @bobbertonsmivelton7019

@@vector2269 Yeh you should keep it at least 5 .c above freezing and it needs to be over 23 .c for them to breed

      In Canada . . . .
I think it's great to live in cool zone. I like it better than in tropical, with rate 30°C at day.
