im a newbie in breeding crayfish ARC. my first fem eggs was green but it sadly all the eggs dropped. the second fem had an eggs and hatched more than a hundred but unfortunately all craylings died the next day. the third fem hatched 30 pcs i put them on a small aquarium but after 3 days there were only 2 survivor craylings left the otjers were gone maybe they ate each other in the tank. now 4th fem is starting laying eggs. hopefully more craylings will survive this time. hope i can get some tip from a more experiened breeder
If you want to start breeding, have 1 male and around 5+ females in one small tank ( 1m × 1m tank ) and with 10 cm deep water. Make sure they are old enough to breed
Thank you for posting this, can baby crays survive the winter outside (coldest -5 C) or better bring everything inside? When outside do I feed it normally during the winter? They look exactly like shown on the vid. I have 26 babies - which stayed in my fishing net after catching and letting free the cray mother in rice fields. Cheers from Japan
Hi, I would like to ask. Is it normal if my crayfish been mating for like almost 2 hours. I realized they start mating at 2.47am. Currently the clock shows 4.17am but they still lock to each other mating. Is this normal? Help!
They are so cute and cool

What do you feed the craylings?
Do you put one male and one female together in a separate tank for breeding?

@@Sir.IamMaybe 1 meter by 1 meter is small tank? That is already a small pond, not tank
@@chindilindi888 yes I got a pond on a bench inside of my living room...
@@chindilindi888 you may not know this but a water tank can hold up to 1000liter or more. That means it can even be bigger than 1m x 1m.

Red claw cant survive temps below zero i think and also heat above 36.c
@@vector2269 Yeh you should keep it at least 5 .c above freezing and it needs to be over 23 .c for them to breed
@@bobbertonsmivelton7019 I'm on my second year of breeding them in my pond. I live in the tropics so don't have to worry about temps really.
@@vector2269 Cool, I'm more in the extremist-temperate zone, the weather here can go from -3 in winter to 45 in summer
@@bobbertonsmivelton7019
In Canada . . . .
I think it's great to live in cool zone. I like it better than in tropical, with rate 30°C at day.
In what size/age an ARC Crayfish before it will accept a mate to breed?
Any redclaws above 20-30 grams are mature, so they can breed when they reach that weight and over
Are those eggs green at first days then turns unto black then orange? Am I getting it right?
Wow amazing
Hi do ARC lay infertile eggs?
What's the different with all the colors on the eggs? How old are the green ones, brown and yellow?
Simply color variances!

Hi. It is normal. I had seen that situation once. After mating the female lays eggs yet?
