Grateful to have had a couple of classes with Professor Hays at Duke. He is a brilliant New Testament scholar. But, more than that, his faith is evident in his writings and in the classroom. Grateful to have had him as a professor!
I enjoy these interviews on writing, note taking, and research methods from the best scholars in theological studies today. Consider creating more of these interviews with more scholars. Hearing their writing and research methods is helpful for those of us who are interested in improving our own writing and research skills.
I read prof. Hays' book 'echoes of scripture in the Gospels'. Now reading 'Echoes os Scripture in the Letters of Paul. Very helpful to understand Scripture. But I have a question: if we need to listen the echoes of OT to understand properly the Gospels, then is there any echoes to listen to understand OT. If yes is the answer, then what it would be. And no is the answer, then what about the influence of other culture other than the Hebrews in OT. Thanks. Namaste 🙏
