  • On June 22 & 23, I joined my girlfriend on her section hiking journey of the Long Path. We trained from Grand Central Station NYC to Hartsdale Station and then backpacked the Burroughs Range along the Long Path, completing Sections 18 & 19 starting from Denning Road to Phoenicia, NY. We bagged three High Peaks including Slide (4180’ Catskills Highest) Cornell (3860’) and Wittenberg (3780’) on the first day. We camped near a stream in the beginning of Section 19.
Day 2 was much more desirable with the terrain being much less rugged than the day before. We made our way down to the Esopus Creek and eventually found ourselves in Phoenicia where we treated ourselves to some protein, beers and showers.
The Long Path is a 358 mile trail that extends from the 175th Street Subway Station in New York City to John Boyd Thacher State Park near Albany, NY.
We took a train to Hartsdale and had a friend drop us off in the Catskills. Then we took the Adirondack Trailways bus in Phoencia to the city.
Shot on Panasonic G85, 12-60mm kit lens, and 7.5mm Laowa.

Just subscribed! please continue making content. your video style is seriously is amazing. The lack of narration really allows us to get submersed in the journey! keep it up!

Awesome! Your vids are such a breath of fresh air from most man...Thanks! Sound and video is superior 👍 I get the vibe that you genuinely want to share your experience with the audience (your camera, sound and video edit show that) and not just grow subs. Look forward to to seeing more of you two, peace and Happy trails 😎

Love that you ended in Phoenicia. One of my favorite Catskill towns. Enjoyed your hike. Like the focus on the flora and fauna.

Very well made. You captured everything nicely. The greens and browns that camera captures are very impressive. Thanks for sharing the model, will check it out. PS, found this video filtering by "uploaded this month" and searching for "The Catskills". Cheers mate!

    Hi Ben.
Enjoyed this movie and the scenery.
Found the format (little talking) very interesting and refreshing.
Some years ago, I watched your River-to-River Trail series, still enjoy it.
    God Bless...

Hi. Which station did you get off at? And from the station how did you get to the trailhead without a car?
