I remember the first time I saw Jerry Lee ! I was about 9years old. He was on the Steve Allen variety show. When he started the piano solo he kicked the stool off stage and went crazy !! Screw El is! I was never the same!
I love it. Does not make it worse that one of my close relatives play here. And totally according to his own thinking that "less is more". He truly plays what fits into the music. He can be the devil on his instrument, but never ever shows off, as far as I have heard. He listens and play what is needed. Nothing more, nothing less.
vocally, no one has come close to this guy, Jerry wasn't always frenetic, his style was naturally a little bit laid back, country-blues. Most people go crazy trying to imitate him. this guys got it right.

That band plays good notes, music etc. But, and there is a Big BUT -You can find on yt Jerry Lee Lewis playing in 2016 at the age of 82 or 76 ( not sure ) with still big spirit and that spark in his eyes, and here, well guys did the job, played role and went home. Maybe after playing all day they gone tired or ... They do it for too many years but especially guitar player almost fell asleep...
