Cleaning out brush, and bringing down trees aren't high up on the priority list, but what a difference! What an improvement and a feeling of accomplishment! Good to have friends!
I love it when you have help to accomplish so much! What a nice family. Man Rural King was hopping. I saw a few weeks ago someone did a drone video of Charleston and I could see the smoke from your fire.
Hey Chris. Just watched the newest episode and so glad you had some friends come and help you out. I saw those old cars are still there. In our town, there are guys who will come and pick up old cars like that and pay you for it. Then they take them and scrap them so it is a win-win for all. Might want to ask around. Have a safe trip.
Chris, the valve blocking your tractor access is a PIV or post indicator valve. It shows open or closed for the part of the old sprinkler sytem it controlled.
Hi again! yeah, I think that is where the water came into the building from the water tower that powered the sprinklers. what I can figure out is that there is one on the opposite side of the building by the front door too.
@@coldwarmercantile Chris, Since the PIV closes the main supply to a specific sprinkler circuit, your building's old system probably was set up with two distinct circuits (if you see only two PIVs). Assuming that none of the system was ever connected to the city main, there must be an underground feed from the old tower that fed both PIVs.
The channel earns a bit that helps offset some of the cost to travel back and forth to the building, but I haven't changed anything, I wonder if that is a trend with more ads? I should watch one of my own vids to get a feel for it. I just use the trust TH-cam settings.
yeah, and there are hinges, and door handles, and all kinds of stuff. I confined it to a very small area so I can at least attempt to clean it out after all this is done.
When you’re burning brush, be very careful that you’re not burning poison ivy or poison oak. Inhaling the smoke can lead to severe respiratory problems.
I noticed a circle of mushrooms at your shoe factory. Maybe if you talk real sweetly to those little fairies, you could convince them to help out while your gone? 😆
Could use some magic power for sure. I found more than one person on the property picking morels over the years. They can't resist. even a fence won't stop them. haha.
What a beautiful act of kindness, thank you Jake and family!

yeah, it is part of fighting the entropy so that I can make progress where it really counts. And you are right, it is satisfying.

Gee Chris, my download involved a higher than usual number of “ ad breaks” I guess that you are getting paid by them!

I noticed you burned a pallet in your brush pile. Must pallets have 30+ nails in them.
Watch out for your tractor tires.

nice tip. We did identify some around.

Slow, and steady wins the race!
Farm shop - you could have a small farm shop selling local produce
there is three acres out back that would be perfect for that.
Train Museum- you could get train memorabilia to sell
yeah, lots of people have suggested train museum and small engine museum.
No safety gear? I wonder how long he will keep his legs...
