The redesigned shell uses a new Z-Compound resin over a one-piece multi-density liner, keeping it strong and lightweight. It’s constructed to absorb impact and provide high “glance-off” ability just like the Corsair-X and even adopts the same ventilation system. Arai took to improving the aero wing on the helmet to increase stability and decrease rider fatigue. Their obsession with providing the most comfortable riding experience never ceases and it’s in the details that makes the difference.
The Ram-X is equipped with the new VAS-Z shield system which gives the shield a lower pivot point and fits into the shell more aerodynamically. The dual pivots also allow for smoother operation. The VAS-Z shield offers full length protection and comes pinlock ready. It’s even equipped with Arai’s Pro Shade System which gives you light adaptability on the fly without stalling your ride. It is specifically designed for optimized airflow so you won’t have any lift or drag when it’s up or down. The helmet padding is designed to accommodate eyeglass wearers or for those that prefer sunglasses. I just received my Aria Ram-X from Speed. They sent it next day air without a hitch. Big trip this weekend. Couldn't find any support for removing pads as I need to install my Cardo. Low and behold not only does Speed A have the goods they post video on how to operate the product. Even Aria could not handle that. Speed Addicks and crew are top drawer in my book for sure.
