Before selling a car un-equip all aftermarket parts as they don't increase the value of your car and instead keep them so you can use them on your next car
Mine would automatically come off when I sold but then one didn't work so all the parts were equipped but the car was gone so I had to sell them all.
You don't lose those upgrades though. Trust me I change my cars after every 2 races and I just outright sell those cars with full upgrades on, they come back in the garage and ready to be installed on the new car.

Ok here are some tips:
1. those boxes that u earn sometimes from races actually have parts in them, they could be rare stuff as well. If you go to your garage you will see it at the bottom right of your screen. I have gotten a turbocharger and a SR20 engine from those boxes.
2. If you look underneath the turbo and to the left of the racing seat at the parts store there will be a black sideskirt but u cant really see it that well, if u click on it you can choose bodykits for your car.
3. there is a intercooler on the far left of the screen below that guy at the parts store, click on the intercooler and you can buy intercoolers.
in your garage in the bottom right there are crates, you unlock a crate every time you level up. inside the crates you get misc., rims, turbo, suspension,paint, and cash

When in garage in tune you will see a little gear underneath all the performance stuff, there you can tune gears and also tune your turbos psi. While just in the garage you will see a crate in the bottom left of the screen, tap it and open the ones you got, the most common is money
