I remember watching Amnesia all those years ago and it was extremely fun to be a part of a gaming channel like this, but I was unsubscribed for a long time. Your humor lost me while I grew up and it seemed that I had long forgotten those chill gaming days. My life kept growing and gaming in general started to seem like a lost experience that I would never get the chance to feel again, but don't get me wrong, I had amassed hundreds of hours in games like COD and Halo. Before this week, I probably haven't watched one of your videos in 3+ years. My dad told me about the drama and at first I honestly didn't care about some big youtuber that I had long forgotten getting in some tough trouble, but then I found your video response in my recommended. Something told me to check up on my old friend and I reluctantly clicked on the video. Now here I am, watching a couple more of your now mature videos. You honestly haven't changed much, but something is different. You are real now. You speak to us like you would with someone you bumped into on the street and it is something else. You do and play things you want to do and not for the views, but for your own sake. This is what youtube needs. That's the reason why I stopped watching and unsubscribed from Markiplier and other gamer youtubers. They played the same game over and over again and they seemed so fake on camera. I really like Markiplier before and thought he was really cool but his reaction to games seem so fabricated. I don't care if Markiplier's fans start attacking me but that's how I feel.
I'm subscribed to Markiplier and Jacksepticeye, and Markiplier was actually the youtuber that got me into gaming, and more into youtube videos, and I really enjoyed their videos, but now I don't watch them very often, mainly because their videos got boring after some time. I still love them, but not a lot of their videos. Now most of their videos I watch are without video games. Mark actually began to make comedy skits on his channel, which I really like, and I want him to make more of them. Markiplier was my favorite youtuber two years ago, but now he isn't even in my top 10 list

One of the main reasons I was against your channel previously was because you were "fake". When people around me kept saying that "watch pewds, he's so funny!" I just replied with that I don't understand why people wanna watch a person who puts on a fake persona to please everyone that watches him. TheOnlyGHero09 I agree completely. As some one who has created content I feel as though especially when you're starting out its easy to fall into the trap of being fake for views. Also playing games you don't care about for views or subs. At the end of the day though I'd be much more happy and proud of a video I enjoyed making rather than one that gets the most views. Some of my least viewed videos on my channel were some of my favorites. Some of my top viewed videos on my page were stupid and I hated them.
I know a lot of people like Pewds new content, and I understand if he isn't happy with playing some games so I support him dropping the amount of games he plays if he's not genuinely happy with some of them. Although, I can tell some games he seems to really love, one of the most genuine moments I can remember was during the RPG games when he would get attached to the characters and the story line that he would often cry or naturally react to a moment and that's what I loved when watching him. I went through the story with him, while watching his reactions. Those times felt more real then him playing the random simulator games. I love when he's serious about a game, not just messing around, but actually invested into what he is playing. There are some quality games coming out soon so I hope he finds genuine interest in a few of them :)
I've been trying to enjoy games for the past three years. Since I turned 28. I'm not sure if games just aren't fun any more or I'd just rather be doing other things in my life. Could be growing up, could be clinical depression. I noticed fewer and fewer things I used to enjoy was interesting let alone fun. The problem was that no new hobbies etc took their place. After a few years nothing was fun, I never laughed anymore and everything was a hassle craving energy I never got back after using it. Sure enough I was diagnosed with "double depression" and I wish I had known sooner as that whole mess awoke latent schizophrenic which you can't cure. What I'm trying to say is - if you even suspect you might have a problem, go check it out with a professional. It might not go away, and it likely will get much worse until it might ge too late.

I think people just feel nostalgia for your old videos. I personally enjoyed the lets plays of games that were horror because i knew they'd make me laugh. (See Outlast or Amnesia) but i dont watch anything else like the walking dead (Because i know you talk over the cut scenes and that just bugs me not because i dont like the videos.) Not because your less (openly) mature "version" sucked, it obviously brought a lot of people tons of joy, but... you know. It's just life. None of this is actually that shocking. The only thing I'd note is: don't overgeneralize other people. You might be right on most things about a LOT of other youtubers, but you have a giant reach and what you say matters a lot on this platform, so don't paint with an overly broad brush. That being said, if this is as therapeutic for you as it seems to be, it's doing its job. A lot of viewers clearly appreciate it :)

Sometimes when you just do something repeatedly countless of time, you'll just eventually get bored of it.It's a human nature i guess. I can understand Felix, it's like we can predict what we'll experience in most of newer games now. Either the impression from the game, or realizing time consumed afterward. The pros and cons. probably why we want or desire to experience new different things. But i could say, when times fly without playing games, and start playing again, it'll probably take most of our time... again. That's addiction.
At 25, im starting to have the same sort of feeling about gaming. I used to get the URGE and even a "high" when playing games like halo, borderlands and even mario. Now when someone invites me to play i just think whats the point! It's sad because i wish i could enjoy games like I used to!

I’m a few years younger than you and I’ve just gone through the same thing; I’ve been addicted to games for the first 20 years of my life; was addicted to World of Warcraft; I would spend all day everyday playing games; I felt like games were always going to be the most important thing to me. But then things started to change for me in my 20’s and now I want to pursue other things in life; learn to cook, learn languages, learn to sew, learn many other things. Now I just play games casually but I really enjoy the ones I choose to play. Games are great and fun but there’s lots more in life to discover too.

That's the reason why I stopped watching and unsubscribed from Markiplier and other gamer youtubers. They played the same game over and over again and they seemed so fake on camera. I really like Markiplier before and thought he was really cool but his reaction to games seem so fabricated. I don't care if Markiplier's fans start attacking me but that's how I feel.

I'm subscribed to Markiplier and Jacksepticeye, and Markiplier was actually the youtuber that got me into gaming, and more into youtube videos, and I really enjoyed their videos, but now I don't watch them very often, mainly because their videos got boring after some time. I still love them, but not a lot of their videos. Now most of their videos I watch are without video games. Mark actually began to make comedy skits on his channel, which I really like, and I want him to make more of them.
Markiplier was my favorite youtuber two years ago, but now he isn't even in my top 10 list
lindsayoakes I don't know if anyone agrees with me, but I still feel like Jacksepticeye is still one of the most Genuine TH-camrs, and he and Cry are some of my favorites for gaming.

One of the main reasons I was against your channel previously was because you were "fake". When people around me kept saying that "watch pewds, he's so funny!" I just replied with that I don't understand why people wanna watch a person who puts on a fake persona to please everyone that watches him. I don't actually care about if Pewds is making more gaming videos or not, I subscribed to him because I loved his personality, he makes me laugh every time no matter what. He helped me went through some of my most downward moments and actually giving me advice in his videos. IDK what you guys think but I love Pewds no matter he plays games or not.

TheOnlyGHero09 I agree completely. As some one who has created content I feel as though especially when you're starting out its easy to fall into the trap of being fake for views. Also playing games you don't care about for views or subs. At the end of the day though I'd be much more happy and proud of a video I enjoyed making rather than one that gets the most views. Some of my least viewed videos on my channel were some of my favorites. Some of my top viewed videos on my page were stupid and I hated them.
I know a lot of people like Pewds new content, and I understand if he isn't happy with playing some games so I support him dropping the amount of games he plays if he's not genuinely happy with some of them. Although, I can tell some games he seems to really love, one of the most genuine moments I can remember was during the RPG games when he would get attached to the characters and the story line that he would often cry or naturally react to a moment and that's what I loved when watching him. I went through the story with him, while watching his reactions. Those times felt more real then him playing the random simulator games. I love when he's serious about a game, not just messing around, but actually invested into what he is playing. There are some quality games coming out soon so I hope he finds genuine interest in a few of them :)

I've been trying to enjoy games for the past three years. Since I turned 28. I'm not sure if games just aren't fun any more or I'd just rather be doing other things in my life. It's nice to know I'm not alone. Turns out life is so much more fulfilling reading books, spending time with friends and going outside. I hope you find your passion.

I noticed fewer and fewer things I used to enjoy was interesting let alone fun. The problem was that no new hobbies etc took their place. After a few years nothing was fun, I never laughed anymore and everything was a hassle craving energy I never got back after using it.
Sure enough I was diagnosed with "double depression" and I wish I had known sooner as that whole mess awoke latent schizophrenic which you can't cure.
What I'm trying to say is - if you even suspect you might have a problem, go check it out with a professional. It might not go away, and it likely will get much worse until it might ge too late.

I think people just feel nostalgia for your old videos. I personally enjoyed the lets plays of games that were horror because i knew they'd make me laugh. (See Outlast or Amnesia) but i dont watch anything else like the walking dead (Because i know you talk over the cut scenes and that just bugs me not because i dont like the videos.)
It's your channel and you can do with it whatever you see fit but i remember a happy Felix who used to scream about barrels and seem to really enjoy what he did.

I'm 24, civil engineer and SW developer and I can say I can relate with you, I love games and I loved playing games, but I toned it down a lot. Now I just wanna go out with friends and meet new people, go to concerts and festivals as often as possible. I can understand Felix, it's like we can predict what we'll experience in most of newer games now. Either the impression from the game, or realizing time consumed afterward. The pros and cons.

At 25, im starting to have the same sort of feeling about gaming. I used to get the URGE and even a "high" when playing games like halo, borderlands and even mario. Now when someone invites me to play i just think whats the point! It's sad because i wish i could enjoy games like I used to!

I’m a few years younger than you and I’ve just gone through the same thing; I’ve been addicted to games for the first 20 years of my life; was addicted to World of Warcraft; I would spend all day everyday playing games; I felt like games were always going to be the most important thing to me. But then things started to change for me in my 20’s and now I want to pursue other things in life; learn to cook, learn languages, learn to sew, learn many other things. Now I just play games casually but I really enjoy the ones I choose to play. Games are great and fun but there’s lots more in life to discover too.
