Velen is my fave. as you say, gritty, atmospheric, beautiful...well executed... it might also be a first impression thing, first environment when u play you know but i think it´s great.
@@mr0x1 Yeah... specially since kaher morhen feels so lonely. Once vesemir dies and the other witchers leave... that place feels depressing despite it has such beautiful scenery and soundtrack.
I would LOVE to hear more ASMR sounds from the witcher with the original music from the game, it sounds as if I were there, beautiful. Thank you for your uploads!
I was used to reading books while listening to this from a long ago and I can’t do it without it anymore now when I re-read it. It’s... I feel like ambience is immensely needed when Geralt travels through lands. It’s not right to just leave imagination of all these crickets and birds to the mind while reading. Or leaving ol’ witcher to silence.
The music has a calm melody indeed, but... When I hear the word Velen, I can't imagine anything else but what transpired there with the Bloody Baron. So it kind of adds an eerie or even sad feeling to the song.
Lately, I have been struggling with my studies in my philosophy degree. I can't concentrate because I am not interested anymore. However, I am determined to complete my degree(I only have a few credits left to complete)..and your music soothes me so much. In less than an hour, I've been capable of writing my essay on Leibniz(I struggled since this morning to complete it). I am almost finishing right now, and I am so happy. I will be able to do some 2D programming tonight before going to bed...Thank you so much, you can't imagine how grateful I am! Hopefully, someday I will be able to help you through your Patreon!
After finishing Wild Hunt for the 1st time (I did it with BAD ending) my game continued in Kaer Morhen in "sandbox" mode. So I came back to Velen and... this song... and I've felt very sad and empty :(.

People talk about Touissant. They talk about kaer Morhen. But for me Velen is the best. Gritty, slightly depressing.....but so atmospheric.

It's actually in the Gustfields which is safer, but of course, still no napping.

Oh, I found it! Leshen grove east of Oxenfurt, between the ruins of Aeramas mansion and Est Tayiar.
