When going hiking I always hope for best but prepare for the worst when it comes to the weather. The weather did make it an adventure but I did get some awesome views in the main so all good. Thanks for taking time to watch and the kind comment. 👍 Paul
It was an awesome day out until the weather came in when it turned it into a bit more of an adventure. I'm sure you will love the day out on these mountains. I can also recommend the Buachaille Etive Beag which is an easier hike but the views are awesome 🙂

I enjoyed this hike and would love to do it again sometime. It keeps me fit 👍 I was on these mountains on my own with no one around after the first summit. i guess some people would get a bit anxious with that rain and cloud coming in. I always wanted to climb this iconic mountain so it was time. Some awesome views and had the place to myself at the top. I didn't get the views off the second Munro but the day after I went up the Munros across the valley and did get the views I missed into Loch Etive, or similar ones anyway. I'm getting into doing the time lapses. The weather was very mixed on this day until it was full on rain for the latter bit of the walk. You have to take the rough with the smooth when hiking tho

Wow you certainly got some magnificent peaks in there Paul, really amazing cloud inversions, we’ve driven past these so many times, they will have to go on our list! Great editing and atmospheric music. A perfect day in the Highlands! ♥️ 🏴
I drove past last year and thought I'm going to climb up that and so I did. It was great looking back on the climb with the views down to the road far below and some scrambling to be had. Maybe next time I go up there I could try the curved ridge which is a lot of scrambling with some exposure. The weather didn't dampen my spirits and it was a bit of an adventure getting down. All good experience and fun. 👍 Paul
@@TheHikingHermit your like us, definitely prefer going up than down! Id swerve the exposed scramble in the rain but on a dry day that sounds like great fun! 👍

I don't tend to use walking poles/sticks, I usually climb up unaided. The weather made getting off the mountains interesting and thankfully I got back in one piece. Cheers, Paul 👍

Hello Paul, I am sorry I missed the premier yesterday, but the view today is still great:) It is quite a landscape you have hiked in and it has a certain Scandinavian feel as well when you get high up! And as typical in the mountains the weather did change quickly; but that is the way of the mountains and the only thing we can do is to go slow and steady and have enough gear to be warm and safe! I love climbing the Munros in Scotland. They are hard work but so rewarding. I did take my time more than usual on the way down as I was aware I was on my own and the conditions were not the best. Hope you didn’t slip too many times on those wet rocks! 😂🤣 putting waterproofs on always brings the sun out 👍 incredible views 😍 and great music to accompany a stunning hike! Love it when you feel like you own the mountain and have it to yourself 👏👍 you defo experienced almost all weather fronts, just missing snow I think 🤭Super Munros bagged 👏👏👏
I prefer wearing my approach shoes which are great on wet rock but hit a bog and will probably have wet feet for the day. My boots are really comfortable and the grip on wet rock are their only downfall. The weather made coming down off the mountain interesting 😂 All good fun tho.

This was so so beautiful despite the funny weather. Loved this hike but you did have different changes of weather, maybe that's why not many people were up there. The mist / fog looked a bit scary ! Wuthering Heights comes to mind 😄 Loved the waterfalls and patches of water ( lakes ? )Really loved the views at the 2nd summit where you had hailstones and I bet it was a bit scary with the bad weather. Perhaps only me daft enough to go up that day ha ha. There wasn't any chance of me getting lost when the weather turned and the clag came in as I was just retracing my steps. I'm used to bad weather from time to time so it doesn't faze me so much. I still needed to watch what I was doing on the way down tho. The hail was fun. The weather certainly moved in rapidly but as long as you're prepared then all is good. There were a few sections on the way down where I didn't trust my boots so shuffled down on my arse to better points lower down. The water crossing was fun after I'd explored any better options. Decided to rewatch this video to remind myself of the views . Boy oh boy am I glad I did !! This is stupendous Paul ... found myself saying WOW every few seconds. You are so good at putting these together, not only with the totally amazing shots but also great descriptions of the route. You certainly got a mix of true Scottish weather on this one with blue skies but oh so threatening clouds , the music adding to the suspense of, Whats it going to do? You've definitely got a talent for those still shots ... took my breath away and as always awesome time lapse. Well done brilliant video 😊
This seems ages ago now but I guess it was only 18 months ago. It was a good day out despite the weather coming in. I had to be extra careful coming down off the mountains. I was conscious of the fact I was on my own with no one for miles around. I did get some fabulous views and I'm glad they came across on the video. Thank you very much for watching 👍🙂Paul
Wow Paul the views up there are stunning! Rannoch moor looks so beautiful up there. That weather seem to do a complete change on you from rain to blue skies to rain again. It did look a little scrambly towards the top. I wonder if my vertigo would be alright on this one? 😅 Looks amazing though maybe one day I could do this one 😊
Hi Yasmin, when at the summit it does feel a little surreal with what looks like a big drop and the expanse of Rannoch Moor before you. The scramble up bit was fairly short and pretty easy. The weather did make it more difficult coming down having to scramble down new created waterfalls. I did keep thinking on the way down I'm on my own on this mountain so be extra careful. I felt a lot better getting thro the scramble down unscathed. As for your vertigo I think you would be fine but then again I don't know how bad your vertigo is. I hope to do it again one day so could give you a shout when I'm thinking of doing it and perhaps you could join me if free. Thanks for watching 🙂Paul
@@TheHikingHermit yes coming down is always a little more tricky, especially if the rain made some new mini falls 😅 my vertigo is funny at times, I’ve done some hard scrambles but in good weather and it’s been ok, but then sometimes easier scrambles in windy weather gets my vertigo to plays up😅 never chosen to film any of my vertigo moments but I have been out solo before and had to turn back when vertigo has hit. I can think of at least two or three occasions where I have stopped a walk early cause of vertigo 😅🏔🏔 sounds good to me Paul, I’d love to do this one one day 😁

@@00jim the one next door the Buachaille Etive Beag is also a superb walk out in the hills. I didn't want to come down off the mountains when I did it. And as typical in the mountains the weather did change quickly; but that is the way of the mountains and the only thing we can do is to go slow and steady and have enough gear to be warm and safe! I love climbing the Munros in Scotland. They are hard work but so rewarding. I did take my time more than usual on the way down as I was aware I was on my own and the conditions were not the best. I prefer wearing my approach shoes which are great on wet rock but hit a bog and will probably have wet feet for the day. My boots are really comfortable and the grip on wet rock are their only downfall. The weather made coming down off the mountain interesting 😂 All good fun tho.

This was so so beautiful despite the funny weather. Loved this hike but you did have different changes of weather, maybe that's why not many people were up there. The mist / fog looked a bit scary ! Wuthering Heights comes to mind 😄 Loved the waterfalls and patches of water ( lakes ? )Really loved the views at the 2nd summit where you had hailstones and I bet it was a bit scary with the bad weather. Enjoyed that though . Thanks for sharing:) ~ Anna
Perhaps only me daft enough to go up that day ha ha. There wasn't any chance of me getting lost when the weather turned and the clag came in as I was just retracing my steps. I'm used to bad weather from time to time so it doesn't faze me so much. I still needed to watch what I was doing on the way down tho. The hail was fun. The weather certainly moved in rapidly but as long as you're prepared then all is good. There were a few sections on the way down where I didn't trust my boots so shuffled down on my arse to better points lower down. The water crossing was fun after I'd explored any better options. By the end I was more worried about whether my boots and gear would be dry enough to go again the next day 😂👍 Thanks for watching and dropping a comment, it's much appreciated. Cheers, Paul 👍
@@TheHikingHermit whenever I’m un sure either on wet or even at the highest height I always get down on my arse I remember as a child going down the stairs on my behind! Decided to rewatch this video to remind myself of the views . Boy oh boy am I glad I did !! This is stupendous Paul ... found myself saying WOW every few seconds. You are so good at putting these together, not only with the totally amazing shots but also great descriptions of the route. You certainly got a mix of true Scottish weather on this one with blue skies but oh so threatening clouds , the music adding to the suspense of, Whats it going to do? You've definitely got a talent for those still shots ... took my breath away and as always awesome time lapse. Well done brilliant video 😊
This seems ages ago now but I guess it was only 18 months ago. It was a good day out despite the weather coming in. I had to be extra careful coming down off the mountains. I was conscious of the fact I was on my own with no one for miles around. I did get some fabulous views and I'm glad they came across on the video. Thank you very much for watching 👍🙂Paul

Wow Paul the views up there are stunning! Rannoch moor looks so beautiful up there. That weather seem to do a complete change on you from rain to blue skies to rain again. It did look a little scrambly towards the top. I wonder if my vertigo would be alright on this one? 😅 Looks amazing though maybe one day I could do this one 😊
Hi Yasmin, when at the summit it does feel a little surreal with what looks like a big drop and the expanse of Rannoch Moor before you. The scramble up bit was fairly short and pretty easy. The weather did make it more difficult coming down having to scramble down new created waterfalls. I did keep thinking on the way down I'm on my own on this mountain so be extra careful. I felt a lot better getting thro the scramble down unscathed. As for your vertigo I think you would be fine but then again I don't know how bad your vertigo is. I hope to do it again one day so could give you a shout when I'm thinking of doing it and perhaps you could join me if free. Thanks for watching 🙂Paul
@@TheHikingHermit yes coming down is always a little more tricky, especially if the rain made some new mini falls 😅 my vertigo is funny at times, I’ve done some hard scrambles but in good weather and it’s been ok, but then sometimes easier scrambles in windy weather gets my vertigo to plays up😅 never chosen to film any of my vertigo moments but I have been out solo before and had to turn back when vertigo has hit. I can think of at least two or three occasions where I have stopped a walk early cause of vertigo 😅🏔🏔 sounds good to me Paul, I’d love to do this one one day 😁

@@00jim the one next door the Buachaille Etive Beag is also a superb walk out in the hills. I didn't want to come down off the mountains when I did it. I'd like to do the Buachaille Etive Mor again but via the curved ridge next time. It does get addictive. Have fun on your Munro bagging journey 👍 Paul
