It becomes more realistic, dark and dives into the psyche of the character. It’s way more realistic than most masala movies, it’s the only film that she the consequences of a hero after fighting 300 men. Broken bones, mental instability, going deaf. We see transformation from a hero to a full blown Animal. If you only want commercial elements, then Animal is not for you.
Aaj agar wo zinda hote to unhe pata hota time has changed, things have changed. Generation is changed. Not everyone has to stick with one set of rules.
