Watching your videos has motivated me to look more closely at the hard goods sections at my local thrifts, and I'm happy to report my sales in those categories have risen a significant amount. So not only have you entertained me with your fun and charming forays, you've encouraged me to branch out a bit and earn more money! I struggle a bit when it comes to driving over an hour to any tempting spot, much prefer to stay in my own neck of the woods, but you've got me thinking it might be a good thing. There are Bins an hour and a half away and I'm working up to a visit to see if it's worthwhile.
The Twin Sycamores print you picked up...That is the current house on Baltimore Street in Gettysburg where Mr. G's ice cream is now. I believe those trees are Witness Trees. Great find for a Gettysburg historian!!!

That pottery piece you thought was a lid 15:44 is an incense burner. You put the stick of incense in the hole on top and the ashes catch in the surrounding dish. I wish I had it!
You should try some cups and saucers in your booth. I sell 8 or 9 cup and saucers a month in my booth. The cup and saucer was 2.99 You could put 14.99 on it for an inexpensive item in your booth! Happy Sales! Can’t wait to see your porch for Halloween!

My mom had a tin with that pattern when I was little so it's probably a tin from the 50's-70's. My step dad is 10 years older so it could have been his otherwise I was just say 70's. He was given a lot of things from his mother. It had a flat top though. She kept her loose change in it.

Those square candy dishes always had a lid. How do I know? Well, my Great Aunt Mae over the years had several different versions of them. That’s not how though. Those darned lids were virtually impossible to keep quiet. So I rarely snuck any candy. She filled hers with ribbon candy for Christmas, candy corn for Halloween, those round mints that came as pink and white, red, pink and white jelly beans for Valentines Day, and every once in awhile, probably got them on sale after Halloween, there’d be mini chocolate bars. We could never figure out how she had such discipline! She had one piece. ONE. Sometimes she even forgot. The candy dish (hers were always blue) would be in the living room. In her house, the living room was used sparingly. We were usually in the kitchen. Or, we sat in the living room to read the Sunday paper and to watch TV. So this room had plenty of time for sneaking into it to get a piece of candy. Except that dang lid Rand out even if it was only slightly touched. Of course, because I was sneaking, I usually touched the sides. Lol. Eventually my older brother taught me to be more decisive AND to lift straight up. I was 7 years younger, so it didn’t occur to me to grab a lot of candy. My brother would take a handful. Then, “HEY?! What are you kids doing??” We’d laugh uncontrollably and run out of the house.

I just bought/sold a similar rolling pin. It’s to make German cookies/biscuits called Springerle. 😊
