Okay, let's all assume that he did most of this so he doesn't lose his (very big) Chinese market. But, my question is - how many of the people accusing him of turning his back to these Chinese issues actually care about it themselves? What have they done from their side for these issues? Big brands just pretend to care about most Global issues (climate change, slavery, etc) just so they don't lose a market. Its a classic PR move. None of them actually do shit for improvement.
I'd rather trust/support someone who is open and honest about his side of preference. At least Jackson doesn't fake it like most people out there. Also, his entire family from Mainland China. Technically, nothing wrong with him being a Mainland supporter. Maybe don't expect everyone to fit into a box of your choosing and opinions.

China is a communist country in which everything said against them is a wrong opinion. Not only Jackson, but so many other Chinese idols in K-Pop, and Chinese idols in China *have* to say good things about China or deny stuff China has done because their lives *literally* depend on it.
I am not trying to accuse you of not understanding, you probably do understand, it's just that I'm tired of people hating on Chinese idols for openly supporting China and things they have done because they *have* to, not because they want to...

@@soulmatechan I get that, but it still doesnt make it right. Then again our definitions of what is right can be different. Honestly he could have just stayed out if it and neither supported nor denyed. And it's not like he doesnt have anywhere to go. He has Korea too. Later down the road when the UN takes over and stops all this, he will only be known as someone who openly supported it. And i understand that countries have good and bad sides I'm not gonna blame him to say good things with passion about his home country. But sorry what needs to be acknowledged needs to e acknowledged or at the very least not openly supported. Because if we take your logic, then not speaking out at all and getting him involved like that would have been safer for his family and himself

A couple years during the 3rd gen era jackdon was one of the few who spoke fleunt english and his image was also the funny , chaotic , friendly chill , wholesome idol which he is still is . He was known for his good manners, how open minded he was and being a gentleman , he interacted more freely than most idol but managed to not get much backlash. And thats what drew most ppl in . Jackson , mark and bambam was the foreigners line in got7 but its kindoff like kpop crowd adopted them as one of their . Even if ur not a fan of got 7 , u were a fan of jackson . He was basically the crowd favourite, the fun guy that everybody liked and had a sense of familiarity. So when he left for his hometown and completely changed his image , it was a new guy alltogether. A lot of fandom felt weord about the change , ur beloved idol became a person u almost cant recognise. On top of that he started becoming more political esp when china is a common enemy of most countries . So that perfect image of his is gone , the guy who used to wholesome and never wrong gave an opinion that was completely different from his foreign fans . Yes their is a chance he is being controlled by ccp kr maybe this was him all alone. No matter what ur stand is against china he still has the right to voice his opinions and defend his country. And these are issues that go beyond the control of jackson or kpop , its way bigger. So think for ur self make an informed choice on whether you want to countinue supporting him or not .

You claimed that Jackson Wang supports China's one-child policy and even referenced background information about China's one-child policy. If you use a translator to translate his blog post, you'll realize that he supports the One China policy, which includes Taiwan and Hong Kong as part of China. You've made such a foolish mistake and are pretending to know everything. Let me tell you, Xinjiang is a famous tourist destination in China, visited by countless people, including both Chinese and foreigners, who experience the local culture and cuisine every day. If you're willing, you can visit too, but you choose to believe online fake news and propaganda and make these ridiculous claims so confidently. So, this guy's comment about you are not wrong at all. If you simply do one simple research, you'll understand how ignorant you are. I'm sorry for being direct, but I can't tolerate your ignorance any longer. As a Chinese person, I can confidently tell you that when Jackson Wang says he loves China, it's genuinely from the heart. We Chinese people also genuinely love China because of the comfortable life, advanced development here. If you ever visit once, you'll know I'm telling the truth. But you choose not to, holding onto your bias, which is fine. Because the ignorant biases of people like you have absolutely no impact on us Chinese people, who enjoy a comfortable, convenient, happy, and safe life in China. Furthermore, China has become so powerful that no country dares to do more than bark at us, let alone provoke us. Unlike most countries( such as Korea) we don't need to please the United States or any other country. We only need to wholeheartedly love our own land and our country. Okay you know Hong Kong is a city in the country of China right? Like you can look it up on a map and its in China so yes him saying he is from China is correct. Seeing a chinese person write " I live in mainland china and hes not even from china he is from Hong Kong" was one of the craziest things ive ever seen someone write. Now granted HK is governed differently than the rest of China it still doesn't change the fact that its a city in China. Im American thats like me saying Hawaii isnt an Amercian state because its an island. Thats sad when people in China dont even know the geography of their own country. Hell fire I thought the educational system in America was bad up until I read that comment on a video about his speech in london at his show. Thats a special kind of stupid right there when you live in China and still don't know that Hong Kong is a city in the country of China. Pull up a world map its right in China it damn sure aint in fucking France🤷 my brother got high as hell in highschool and when he got the question what country is the city of Hong Kong located in he got that question right. The fucking stoner got that question right let it sink in. I would bet money the idiots who are saying this really think Mars bars come from planet Mars. It must blow their mind that we have them here on planet Earth assuming they even know what planet they are on its not looking to promising.

China is really big, money and family is what matters more now for him. China and UK agreed that HongKong will be in China in the next few years. Lastly, Jackson is not even political figure tho for me he needs to be at neutral stance whenever he goes out to another country.

Hey just wanted to find out, is Hong Kong its own country or is it a city that is part of China (the country)?
From personal experiences people change not always through money but experiences. Every person on earth have their own blessing and demons we come across. We evolve the way we need to, not how others want us to.
We shouldn't be quick to start up false accusations about each other. We shouldn't scrutinize someones life if they are a celebrity or not.

We don't know what's going on in Jackson's life and I say leave him be. For all we know, this will end within the next year or so and he'll be back to his old self; maybe this is just a midlife crisis for him and he's trying to find himself outside of GOT7, who tf knows? Just leave him be and let it play out.
Also, as for how he acts on stage, maybe this is just the "theme" for his album. And as far as I know, no fan ever said no to how he was acting, therefore it was consensual.
