This looks way easier and longer-lasting than cleaning methods. Can’t wait to try it and thanks for sharing! I have tried so many folks ideas and recipes for scrubbing grout and NOTHING works, not even bleach. The hours and the sweat is wasted time. Don’t even go there, folks.

The easiest way I found was to use a"Grout Pen".
super easy, if you can use a pen ,you can do it. 😊
So basically, your grout is still filthy. You just painted over it. Next time get yourself some Softscrub with Bleach or Oxiclean and a scrub brush. A little elbow grease and then a quick sponge mopping with clean water and your floor will be clean and look as good as the day it was installed.
I have tried baking soda, peroxide, toilet bowl cleaner, grout Eeze (from Amazon), even bleach, and grout cleaner from Home Depot...NONE OF IT WORKED. The Polyblend grout renew is literally the only thing that will make grout lines look new again. It is however a very tedious process and you have to have patience and take your time...it helps to have a small adjustable stool to sit on to save your knees and back, and lots of tooth brushes and rags from dollar tree...it will be worth it in the end.

looks good, glad to know it IS tedious, i have read the info from HomeDepot and want to color my old white grout with a tan. Hope it works, have a bath,entry,kitchen and laundry area. I currently use a scrub brush and liquid cleanser to clean, not great.

Yes... I am a orofessional tile and grout cleaner and it is reccommend to clean the grout first before painting it. Also it should only be done on commercial tile floors.

I"d use it if I cleaned the grout with bleach and after drying paint/sealed it the same color as original. That would even out the grout color. (30 year tile guy)

OMG STOP MOVING YOUR HANDS AND TALKING SO MUCH! PUT THE PRODUCT DOWN AND JUST SHOW THE BEFORE AND AFTER PHOTOS!
I want to do this!! Did it take the 13-15 hrs to just do that small space? Because we have 2,000 sq ft of floor tile/grout!! lol Maybe it would actually benefit us to just get it professionally done if that's the case. That could take us weeks at least to do haha

Talk too much
the instructions say that you need to clean the grout before applying the sealer. The seal will not work as effectively if directly applied to dirty grout.
An old toothbrush and neat thick bleach is way cheaper and quicker
This usually does NOT work. Curtis I wonder if you REALLY tried this. It didn't make a dent in ours.
Korky Kathman it did work very well for me. Pour some bleach into a jug, dip the toothbrush into the bleach then brush it into the grout. Leave for a few minutes as you go round the surrounding grout lines and you will see the difference. Took a day for me to do my whole bathroom, but the grout looked like new. It may not work if grout has been previously sealed. I wish I had done a before and after video

Awesome.. looks like I have a project coming up. I spent at least an hour trying to clean grout by our bar area (a bottle of simple syrup fell and broke and its like it immediately stained even worse) .. my boyfriend even went as far as to take a power washer to our entry way LOL!!! That was a mess!

She does say without scrubbing on the caption & how to get it white. There’s other videos with a lot of scrubbing involved in how to clean it but sometimes they don’t work. This seems like an easier solution for me that have tried cleaning it other ways. 👏

I did this about 15 years ago and I so remember it because it took such a long time. And I had a smallish kitchen it still took 4 EVA. I think about 10 hours. OMG so Worth it. I think it’s what sold my house. People kept commenting favorably about the floor. Silly me thinking ” No big deal. what’s a couple of hours out of my day ? “ HA. I am considering doing my BF s floor now That ll take a week maybe even 2. Again tho it is so worth it. Like having a brand new floor.
I tried this and love the results. It not only refreshes my grout color, but seals it so the porous grout won’t absorb more dirt. I prefer tiled floors but was considering changing to hardwood because the grout is impossible to keep clean. This saved me a small fortune. Thank you so much!

Toilet bowl cleaner works wonders, let sit 30 min and wipe up.....cleans grout wonderfully
I just tried toilet bowl cleaner and it worked AMAZINGLY.. plus it squirts out perfectly into the grout joint. I had used the product in the video to paint my grout about 2 years ago and it has since become very dirty again. It was too tedious to paint it. I am going to go buy some grout sealer and then use the toilet bowl cleaner and then seal the grout. Thanks for posting!

Yep that works. Use a toothbrush.....The stiffer the bristles the better. A metal bristles toothbrush work with a metal handle works best. You probably need to put back the sealant in any method.
PLEASE like slow down on your like delivery and like then the information like can be understood by like your viewers. Then like the necessity for like link works and like phrases become like unnecessary and like the video will cut to like many minutes like less. Don’t waste your time and money I did on my floor took me days to do looked great but came off within six months now I’m getting sealer from turbo seal.com supposed to last so I will see. Let you know in about six months

So it's not even clean you just painted over the dirt my Ocd would be threw the roof knowing my floor is dirty underneath
But that's not what OCD means. Please stop using the word loosely if you don't know the proper way to use the word. You mean your clean and organized , not OCD.
All you people are nuts. This product changes the color of your existing grout it absorbs they're your existing grout her tile was not dirty har tile was a dark color and she wanted it lighter so she did not paint it's a product that changes the color of your grout all the way through the grout Gees people.
For 6 minutes you yap yap yap and didn’t even clean the grout you just painted over it.
If you don't clean the grout first the paint may not take as well. I use Apple Barrel paints on my Ceramic floor grout. I have painted designs on clothes with this kind of paint and it stays on through machine washings so It should last on your floor for a long time. . It's acrylic and waterproof. It's likely very similar to grout paint but less expensive. Before painting the grout I clean the floor and scrub the grout with an abrasive scrub pad and cleanser. As suggested in the video I did use a soft mat for me knees. After I paint the grout a section at a time I then wash the floor with just warm water to get the any excess paint off that has gone beyond the grout lines. I used a rag but it might help in avoiding the grout to use a sponge when washing off the excess paint. What a nice difference. Your floor will look almost brand new. It's time consuming but better then getting a new floor. In all it took me about 1 1/2 to 2 hours for a small kitchen floor Approximately 8' x 12'

Quick fix but damn you do too much talking.
In Australia tilers sometime use what they call sanded cement ...its obvious not the grout most people know. And over time unless it’s sealed...it gets dirty / stained. Nothing gets it clean again! Just done ours a USA import ...search for grout perfect. Its a paint really, looks like acrylic ...dries fast. This vid shows a similar product. We were quoted A$2500 to do all our floors..bought the paint kit online for A$300 and it too about 20 hours work. Its hard on knees...but easy to do! PS. The bottom of her washing machine is rusty.....sand it off and paint it before it spreads too far!
took 2 minutes and 39 seconds to tell us it will take along time. Might as well go back to scrubbing.
Your video was too much talking, The product was PolyBlend Grout Renew. Using the toothbrush is more effective since it pushes the product through the existing grout.

Ok well home Depot no longer carries this because it was discontinued. Google is going to tell me why. Got me wondering.!
$12 for the cheap product plus $1000 worth of time and pain. Might as well pay someone to do the job properly and re-grout your floor for you.
I color seal grout professionally all day everyday for a living. It would take me under 10mins to do a large kitchen. You need to put sealer in a cup. Use a 1in -2in brush. Stripe grout with color sealer not to heavy not to thin do not worry if you get it all over the tile. After applying sealer to the grout wait 1 hour to dry. Remove extra sealer on tiles with wet rag and water. If you get on your floor trying to use an arts and craft brush you are wasting your own time.
My constractor said if I want a cheap looking house then I should go this route. Otherwise do regrout.
I'd recommend steam cleaning, or using some sort of cleaner rather than masking the real problem which is dirt, grime, etc buildup. BUT to each their own. Your house, do what you like. However, if I had a tenant do this to my property, I would be PISSED!! Definitely don't do this if you rent!!! See if your landlord will split a steam floor cleaning service or rental.

here is the truth about grouts. only the dark grays and black will keep its color forever, any other color eventually the dirt will turn them darker or black.

It has Been a few years and I wonder how long did this last before you needed to redo it? Thank you. I had my backsplash redone and the grout became stained by the minerals from the water. Bleaching, scrubbing does nothing to remove the stains. I would love to hear from you. Thank you.
