I use to work at a small head strip airport loading chemicals and fertilizer into crop dusters and I would work three days a week but like 15 hour days and I'd much rather do that than a 7 hour day 5 days a week

I'm 26, my base work week is 40 hrs which are 5 shifts of 8 hrs each. I mostly work every weekend and my 2 days free tend to be random days on the week. Every other week I am the supervisor shift on the weekend which turns my Saturday and Sunday shifts into 12hr shifts, and I fucking love that. That's an extra day during the week. On another note my free days I try to pick up more shifts from work because over time pay is fucking great, and I do this at every opportunity I have.

Problem with longer workdays is that a lot of people have kids. Kids that go to bed at 7 pm. And you have to pick them up at kindergarten before 5 pm (or around that time). And if you work 10 hour days you need a nanny to pick them up and you only see them when you kiss them goodnight or wake them up in the morning. That one extra day off doesnt compensate for that.
When I drive back from RIT to Plattsburgh, I would absolutely love to be the passenger rather than the driver. I get tired very quickly in any car, and it makes me take longer because I have to stop to wake up more
