Why is everyone harping on the news stations for reporting it, and not the REAL racist (the player) who lied and got a school attacked for no reason?

Because the news stations jump on every story they know will cause an uproar without any evidence. This was not the case in news world history, but in today's world it is normal. It needs to change.

Because the media is doing this by design. The media is just an extension of the Democrat Party.
You are right on point when you state, indirectly, that the lying b_tch should be held accountable.
We all know that will not happen.

Because they are reporting it as truth before the facts are out.

There's always going to be sleazy people in this world (like that player), but the media is supposed to investigate and report the truth. Instead, in the case, the media jumped on the bandwagon because it fit their own narrative of racist white people, promoting hate and division.

She’s thought that no one would question it if she said Mormons did it . Disgusting, that people need to make up racism for clout and fame . Look how her family has gone on a media tour, look how Rachel Richardson is not shocked or angry, no one will put up with this on a college campus . Shameful

It’s really too bad how were all in our little silos. I probably would have assumed it really happened if I wasn’t a BYU grad and actually watched the game on BYU TV. I never heard a word about until I tuned into the game the next night. The show started with a statement by the announcer that racism would not be tolerated and that the man responsible had been kicked out of all future sports events. It was clear BYU believed it had happened. Why would she lie? It wasn’t until days later after sifting through mountains of audio and video that it became clear there was no evidence it happened. Even BYU students that were interviewed thought that it must have happened and said how embarrassing it was. So it’s hard to blame CNN for reporting what they did, and Tucker doesn’t bother to mention that CNN printed and aired corrections to the story pointing out the lack of evidence. What I find hilarious is that Carlson (probably the biggest liar on tv) has the nerve to call out a real journalistic endeavor like CNN which at least attempts to get things right when he (and Fox itself) have such a complete disregard for the truth. Shameless 😂
